aren't you a staff member?
Staff members are a part of the community.

The whole point was that there would be minimal staff control allowing more members to be on the podcast and to allow them to talk about whatever they wanted to.
You're not letting just anybody come in and talk, are you? :\
Wait, quiet, I'm starting to like the sounds of this.... : )

whats the point of taking Abraham Lincoln's "for the people, by the people" style if your changing the meaning?

i'll just guess that that the person on the podcast didnt know what they were quoting, or what it meant.

Ultra: If the person really wants to be on the podcast, then I'd let them in maybe once. If the person was an active part of the community I'd let them try being a regular.

Sierra: A forum is different than a nation. A staff members job is not only to make sure good behavior is being practiced, but also to be involved into the community, making sure that the members are happy.

You're not even going to have them "audition"? :\

Audition for what?

This isn't a talent search UB. What am I going to have them do, read off a script or something?

I approve of this.

I may have to participate in this.

Owned.

I say we all make our own podcast called... Dust-bunnies. Who's in?

You entirely missed my point. The style of that quote is taken from Lincoln's Gettysburg Address:
[\quote]...government of the people, by the people, for the people...[/quote]
What you did was take that style and apply it to your little podcast, using the word community in place of people. So unless Lincoln lived in an anarchic/communist society, you completely changed the meaning of the word "community."

Are you done yet?

I'm really confused right now. You can talk about anything? Great, I can tell everyone what I ate last night. Woo

Okay, let me explain. Each week there will be a theme depending on what happened in the last week. Who ever is going to be on the podcast for the week will get to decide it the day before, and I'll make a layout of what we'll talk about. We'll record it on a Friday morning (maybe afternoon, it depends) and it'll be uploaded on Saturday. For example we'll probably have a pre-e3 podcast on the 11th, and we'll talk until we get to about a half hour, where we'll do questions like we used to.

And sierra I wasn't looking at the phrase politically, I was just using it as an expression. I understand what you're getting at though. ; D
