Removal of villagers

As much as I?d like to say that I want some of my hated villagers like Amelia, Derwin, Cube be removed, I feel like you kind of have to have those villagers you hate sometimes. It?s always fun to have someone to push in pitfalls and hit with a net.

im a little afraid of that, but if they bring back amiibo cards they cant really remove someone?
with the amiibo only villagers idk?? maybe they even add more from other franchises but it would 100% be amiibo only again.
i think they are fun but i dont mind them being removed tbh, also i love the sanrio villagers but i dont think they will come back :/ i hope at least the furniture stays...

The only reason villagers have ever been removed is because of space issues, and that was only in Wild World.
Apart from Champ, who was removed in New Leaf on account of Porter being reintroduced.
So... given the Switch has big cartridges, I doubt we're going to have a mass reduction of villagers.
I'm honestly hoping they'll do the opposite and reintroduce all of the other cut villagers (apart from the 3 e+ promo card villagers)

This is along the lines of my thinking.

If anything…I could imagine adding more villagers from the columns of particular species which number very little. For example: Not counting on of the Welcome amiibo characters, there could be an increase of octopus villagers as well as cow villagers.

I don’t want to guess how many more individual villagers could get introduced. But, for any which may get added, I would figure this may be the approach in bringing in new villagers.

I agree, but this also depends on how much the devs expand on what we can do in the game and how large the towns are. There could be so much that they need to trim the "roster" a bit and also make way for more new ones. Anything is possible.
