My custom Animal Crossing character is an Animal Crossing character, custom or not. Drawn the same way, same everything, just not in the game. If you want to be strict about what you are willing to draw, you need to say that in your post. I know you said Animal Crossing characters only, but you need to be really specific around here because there will be people asking for OCs to be drawn. "Animal Crossing villagers only- no OCs, custom villagers, no exceptions!" Saying I'm asking for more implies I'm trying to burden you with some ridiculous order. I asked for something that wasn't listed in the first post, but again, I was just seeing if you'd possibly be open to a simple character. Forgive me for applying what I've learned from two years on this forum in your thread. That's nice and all, desperately trying to art so you can survive, but you should know that if you're looking for RLC, this is not the place for you. Most of us are young or unemployed or we just don't have enough for commissions. RLC-only shops around here fail 99% of the time, and frankly if you just come here hoping to sell art for money, that's just not right.

Art is a job, yes you're right. If you have a college degree and are working for some kind of art industry like a cartoon or video game, that is. If you're just an artist who's pretty decent and hoping to make a quick buck, it's nothing more than a hobby you can occasionally profit off of. It's something you really shouldn't try to make a living off of (again if you're not professional. Otherwise it's fine!) I personally have a thing against mediocre artists who try to live off of commissions. It's fine if there are things going on and you can't get a job, but if there are lots of job opportunities flying around and you're not taking them, you're just being lazy. Don't forget: artists depend on people liking their art. Nobody likes it, nobody commissions, no money. They should feel honored that anyone likes their art at all. Like a cocky pop star who thinks he's the greatest thing ever. You'd be nothing without your fans.

Animal Crossing character, as in a canon character in the Animal Crossing universe, as in regardless of how the character is drawn, or if it's from the Animal Crossing universe, it is not a canon character. After this conversation I have made a new post severely specifying this, so I don't have to have this conversation again. I never once claimed that you were burdening me, nor had I ever implied that you were doing so. I am not looking to do art commissions on this site, nor am I a desperate artist, so I don't need to expect whatever the in-site currency is. I never once claimed that's what I wanted to do, I'm sorry that you're assuming that's what I want, as this post was designated towards free art, and had nothing to do with money until you expected me to draw your custom OC.
I make a great living off of art, and I'm very sorry if yourself or anyone you now hasn't. It's honestly a shame that you have such a negative outlook on artists who won't labor for free. I do actually have a job, but I appreciate the assumption. Trust me, one cocky person who expects me to draw their character for free isn't damaging my art career, if anything it's just emotional damage, which doesn't affect my art demand at all. I do feel honored that some people like my art, I've got a small bit of self confidence, no matter how much you appear to be trying to hammer it down. People choose to like my art, there is no honor in that, especially if it's some random person who's trying to tell me I don't deserve money for my work, that is not honor. The other users sure, but not in the context of this exact conversation. The fact you think I'm cocky is hilarious, and that you think I have fans is honestly even more so, if you new a single thing about me you'd know I think I'm the literal scum of the earth, but I'm not going to let someone who's trying to get free art from me push me around; sorry.
