Resetti Rescue Service isn't free...

Yeah, I found out about this either on here or reddit. I can't remember. Anyway, it would be terrible if you actually got stuck somewhere and couldn't use should you not have enough NM. But I think it will just go to negative 500 and you can pay it back.

Agreed! Yeah I noticed this too!

I think in the old games they left so much distance inbetween things to make sure you couldn't get stuck, but with your ability to edit the world so much, there must be a way to get stuck, and this was their solution. I'm so glad this was the route they took instead of limiting us!

Yeah, I doubt I’ll be using that service, especially early on in the game. Who knows what kind of bugs and fish I’ll be missing out on if I just flew across the island, lol. I don’t think the map is large enough to warrant fast travel.

Oh dang. I don't want to spend my Nook Miles on this then. D:

I mean, I don't think I will get stuck anyways, so I probably won't need it. I don't even know how anyone would get stuck...

I can't imagine they'd put it in if it wasn't necessary at some point.

I'd hate to get stuck, so you have no choice but to use it if you can't pole vault your way out.

I want to builds bridges as soon as the game allows, before anything else.

Seems like that's definitely a possibility! I'm hoping the first time use is free though... I'm hoping I never get stuck... What if there's a scorpion pit though... ╭︎(ಠ_ಠ٥)╮︎

In the video they made it seem really arbitrary.. like the character definitely didn't seem "stuck" just "lost" in a very loose term. I kind of think they just wanted a way to add in Resetti that wasn't too much programming? And if you become loaded with miles later on then whatever you can teleport haha. Maybe there is a reward for doing it once?

Edit:
Unlocking meeting Resetti like Scrafty said would make sense! So theres motivation to do it even once. I just have a hard time believing it will bee a necessary component.

How do you get stuck? What even is that? I sure hope it doesn't happen to me at some point in this game.

People are theorizing that flimsy tools can break, namely the vaulting pole and it could leave you stranded. Personally, I think it was just worded for sizing the feature up and its basically just a glorified quick travel for lazy folks.

I guess we don't really have a concept yet on how difficult Nook Miles are to earn but I gotta say that 500 of them seems like an awful lot to fast-travel home.

In the Direct, the first 'step' of the fishing one, for catching 10 fish you got 300 Nook Miles. It does seem slightly overpriced.

It's a little better than I thought but yeah, it definitely seems like a feature I won't be using that often (how would I get lost on my island anyway?).

Edit - Unless a pole vault/ladder broke or got lost on an unconnect part, I suppose. But that seems like it'd be a special occasion.

With autosave, do you resume playing game where you were previously? It seems like you could just exit out to the main menu and go back in.

I'm starting to think this really was a way to shoehorn Resetti in and maybe *possibly* give another build a la the Reset Center to build in our town.

yeah, i noticed that the third time i watched the direct; i likely won?t be using it then lol

Chances are it'll auto-save before backing you out, so theoretically, you'd still be stuck. Unless you power down, but then you'll get yelled at by Resetti, and I'd rather spend the 500 whatever it is than hear him rant about why I didn't shut the game down properly.
