Residents services really close to the airport - restarting or not?

Hey guys so my resident services is extremely close to my airport. I’ve played New Leaf but I stopped even before the welcome amiibo update was released. I planned to buy New Horizons because I loved my previous AC games (City Folk and New Leaf) and so in March not long after it’s release I bought it.

Now, since I took such a long break from AC and didn’t even watch much footage from NH, I wasn’t really concerned about how I wanted my island to be. I didn’t even know there were different airport colors (and got the red one, my least favorite). For some reason I chose the island map with the resident services very close to the airport.

I regret his SO much. I really want to make a nice and beautiful entrance but I can’t make it just because I have extremely limited space to work with. It’s just so frustrating you can move everything except resident services. I’ve tried several things but was never satisfied with the results and the sort of entrance I want is just impossible. It makes me feel a bit sad to be honest. I have so many hours in the game now and really enjoy it. The only way I can make my island entrance like I have it in my head is if I restart my game. This sucks because like I said Ihave hundreds of hours in the game and made so much progress without ever time traveling.

I know in the end it’s up to me to decide if it’s worth losing hundreds of hours to get a much better entrance but I would like to hear what you guys think. What would you do if you were me? Resetting would suck very very hard for me but maybe it’s the only way?

Also if there are people that have a similar problem and have some tips on how to deal with it, please let me know! Resetting really is a last resort for me and I can’t really see myself doing it... After all I have nice villagers and I started my island on the same day as my best friend.

I think you have plenty of spaces... I got stuck with 5 lol right when I found out I was really frustrated and thought about restarting but I made my peace with it. I decorated a lot around it, it's a creative challenge
A lot of people have this problem and managed to make it work, you can search for a couple of threads here. I think you can make it work too, as I see you don't really want to restart, this doesn't have to be a huge issue. For me it just got small over time. Try not to compare it so much, this is a big issue with this game

mine is about 16 spaces from my airport. it's also off by one block. i just made cliffs to force a winding path and i think it looks fine. if it rly bothers u then maybe u could look up acnh airport entrances and such and see what people have done and decide if ur able to do something similar.
