It has been a while since I've been on this site. When I navigated to the re-tail section I saw people were accepting TBT. I later discovered it was forum currency. Could someone tell me why it's in demand? What is it used for? Gratz.

It has been a while since I've been on this site. When I navigated to the re-tail section I saw people were accepting TBT. I later discovered it was forum currency. Could someone tell me why it's in demand? What is it used for? Gratz.

For the last year or so, there's been a lot of collectible releases, and unfortunately, people have been increasing the inflation a LOT, and so to gain the TBT to buy the pixels they want, they end up selling out everything from their town (I admit to doing this xD). Also, art has gained popularity too, so people end up starting art shops and selling sigs/icons/chibis and they have TBT as their main currency they accept.

Also, it's been a few years since the game release, so the amount of in-game Bells has over-weighed the demand of them; most people have full town with all houses paid off; all expensive Gracie items; 10-100mil in their bank; etc. So, prices of everything has increased a lot since there's a lot of Bells out there in circulation, and since TBT is way easier to transfer than in-game Bells in large amounts, it's become the primary currency. Most would rather type in "100" and press enter than drop money bags for a couple hours.

At least that's why I think it's more popular, other might disagree xD
