March 2025 maintenance (and other updates)

I agree that the gap looks a bit weird. It’s still there whether or not someone uses an Adblock.

For the Kofi, I recommend putting it at the bottom of the bottom of each page with the other links (contact us, terms and rules, etc.), or even at the top of the page with the banner. That would help with visibility and could explain the lack of revenue.

I personally didn’t know about the Kofi until more recently, but I can’t speak for everyone.
i also didn’t know about the ko fi until recently and probably would’ve donated had i known! i think tbt would do well to highlight it a bit more, im sure there are folks willing to help with costs scattered around these forums.

I noticed that, when I hold down the like reaction to pull up other reacts while on mobile, it treats it as if I want to open a link. I remember this being a bit of a glitch before (where it would have this window popup, and it wouldnt let me select any reacts besides "Like"), and I'd just reboot the browser to get it to work. now it is letting me select other reacts, but it always has this window popup first now, and I have to touch off to the side to make it go away so I can select react.

edit: I think the solution is to hold down the react button for only a brief moment. I think before it was required to hold it longer, but I could be wrong. it may simply take a little adjusting on my part.
This has been happening recently on my phone too, it does this no matter how long I hold down the react option.

This has been happening for me on mobile as well since the update. While only holding it for a short time works. It's a very specific timing and it's pretty annoying to have to do that, especially for events like this where we're reacting to a lot of posts

I have found the site to be a lot slower than usual since the update. I also have noticed that when I hover over the like button to access the other reactions it think I'm trying to open a link.

I wonder if the amount of time the button is hovered over/held down can be adjusted so that it quickly opens the reactions, but takes a little while to open the link prompt. I can definitely tell a difference since the update happened and it's been a little frustrating to deal with.

I believe we’ve resolved the issue on long press relations that you all have been reporting. It’s still not perfect, but it should be similar to how it was before this maintenance now. Thanks for your patience.
