[Roleplay] Search for the Sapphire

I kept silent. As I try to make it to the last branch, my mind was racing. Yes, my record! Oh crap! The branch collapsed.

I kept my eyes closed and ignored my wife. 40 YEARS I have been with her! That lady is going to drive me crazy if her voice doesn't do it to her first!
"LEOPOLD. GET OUT HERE. NOW."
"Yes, dear..." I reply, with a groan. Little did she know of my secret plan.

I pull out my knife as she goes to pull me out of bed and stab her in the heart. Watching her suffer was difficult, so I cut her head off and threw it out my window and into the deep blue ocean that surrounds the island. I hide the body in my closet. The sapphire was now gone, so I no longer needed to pretend to be a sweet and kind old man. I make myself some tea and pet my cat.
"Who's a good little kitty! You are!! Yes you are!!"

"I have no clue..." I start to reply, before he falls from the tree, and lands on top of me, since I'm still beneath it.

I try to hold in my laughter as best I can, but it's no use. "Pwhahahaa!!" I fell to the ground laughing at that hilarious face of hers.

I stretch my arms slowly as I wake up and yawn. There is a crowd outside murmuring in the direction of the sapphire

"W-what!? It's 5 pm already!"

I get up and get changed as I dash outside to see what the commotion was about. I learned what happened eventually and decided to go on an adventure to find it.
Ugh, I sighed.

"I'm such a wimp, I'll probably get hurt and scrape my ankle on the way and start crying like a baby.
Hmm maybe It's worth a shot, who knows? Maybe I'll save the islands"

I started packing up and waved good-bye to my mother and family. I headed back towards where the sapphire used to be so I could find any hints or remains of what happened..

"This dinosaur kid is heavier than he looks..." I say, sitting back up after being knocked to the ground again, and lifting him off me.

"I'm so so sorry! Please forgive me..." My voice trailed off.

"Hey, kid, where is everyone who lives on the island?" I ask, hoping to find out where everyone is.

I nod in agreement. That's what I've been trying to ask him for the past 30 minutes.

"Uh...I...umm, well, there's so many people..." My voice trails off again.

"There's no one around, and the houses just past here are all empty though. Do you know where anyone is?"

 

[Lithia]

My head tilts to the side. "So many people? There barely anyone around.." perhaps I should be more..gentle?

"Yeah..uh..they aren't here..." Should I be really saying this? "Well, I need to go clean my room, so...ehe."

Guess I'll just have to work out where everyone is myself, I think, locating the largest tree in the small forest here, and climbing up to the top of it to look out across the island.

I follow Aria, bored of looking around myself. "Hey, can I join you on you search?"

I sigh. "If you must. I probably won't talk to you much though, I'm used to doing everything alone..."

Looking from atop the tree, I can only see about half of the island, so I can't see anyone on this island, besides us and the dinosaur kid.

I roll my eyes. "alright then. I'm just following you cuz I have nothing better to do." I scan the tracks and find a pair of footprints. I walk over and stretch the bushes away. its a whole set of footprints! " Hey loner. I found something!"
