I may have posted a thread like this before but that was a while ago so I wanted to make a new one.
I'm basically posting this for help/advice. I really want to get into roller blading and I know I still need to buy a pair of inline skates, as well as knee and wrist guards, as well as going to the local skating rink to practice.
but what I'm wondering is, does anyone here know how to ride inline skates? if so, how long did it take you to become good at it (I assume a few months)? how often and where did/do you practice? how do you start out learning (do you hold onto the wall separator or just go at it)?
I'm somewhat afraid to learn because I don't want to risk hurting my wrists (I play piano for a living), hence why I want wrist guards, so i would like to learn in a way that allows for minimal impact on my wrists. but I've been wanting to learn for a long time, since I used to love roller skating. I've just never used inline skates.
