Room of the Week
Greetings everyone! WonderK here with an idea for another weekly contest. Some of you may know me for being the host of SOTW in the museum section and ROTW would be the same concept, but with decorating a room in your animal crossing house instead of making signatures. I decided to do the same thing I did with SOTW by making a poll and getting feedback from the community before continuing on and talking to the staff about it. If this doesn't work out? That's quite fine. If it does? Fantastic!

What is ROTW?
Room of the Week will be a contest where members on this forum will decorate a room in their animal crossing home based off a theme and enter them in. The theme will change every contest. Themes can involve colors, styles, culture, scenery, seasons, etc. The theme can pretty much be anything. You will be given one week to turn in your submissions based off of that weeks theme. A voting thread will then be created and people will vote for their favorite submissions. The voting thread will be opened for one week. After that one week is up, the winners announcement thread will be created as well as another thread where you will enter new submissions for a new theme.

Prizes
First place will receive 200 TBT
Second place will receive 150 TBT
Third place will receive 100 TBT
If there are ties, the winnings will be split.
Even if you don't win, there will always be next week and you will gain some ideas on how to decorate your house.

Who can participate? EVERYONE!
Everyone is allowed to participate in this. With SOTW, you need a photo editing program in order to make a signature and not everyone has a program nor the knowledge on how to use it. In the case of ROTW, all you need is a good idea and a working concept and you can steal the contest.

What is the point of this?
To build community and involvement on the site. Animal Crossing is the main focus of The Bell Tree forums and I personally think it would be fun to have a weekly contest that revolves around the game. I know that there is an event or two every year that has a contest exactly like this where you take a picture of a room based off a theme but it doesn't happen weekly. Essentially, I'm wondering if everyone would like to have a contest like this every week. As I said in the beginning, if this doesn't work out that's perfectly fine.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: How would people enter?
A: People will enter by uploading a picture from their 3DS or by taking a picture of their 3DS screen via camera. They will then submit those images to the entry thread.
Q: If we win one week, can we re-enter the contest next week?
A: You can enter every contest regardless if you win or lose!
Q: Would you be willing to visit a dream and post the pic for people like me?
A: I was thinking about having some mini staff for this contest who will go into dream address and take the picture for you and upload it. This is still in the works though!
Q: How are you going to check for proof? it's unlikely that someone would cheat but still...
A: I'll take everyone's word for it that it's their town and a room in their own house. I'll do some checking here and there but I won't be specifically trying to nab people. If you are caught, you'd be banned from ROTW forever.
Q: How will volunteering work?
A: People who want to volunteer will PM me and I'll add you to a list. I'll pick out some people and rotate every week. The people that I choose to volunteer will have their names somewhere in the entry thread with a hyper link to their profile. People who can't take a picture and need help submitting will PM one of the volunteers. It'll be the responsibility of the volunteer to go to your dream address and submit the picture for you.
