Caroline- A reference to the song Sweet Caroline, which David Archuleta sang on American Idol.
Diana- My villager Crush. A reference to David Archuleta’s hit original song Crush.
Hippeux- Hippeux’s Japanese name translates to “David,” which is obvious connection. Also, Hippeux’s name is supposed to be a bad French take on “hippo.” David Archuleta has often said that his singing really started with songs from “Les Misérables,” a French book that was later remade into different forms of media.
Kyle- Looks a lot like David Cook, the person Archuleta was runner-up to on American Idol.
Sandy- A reference to where David grew up, Sandy, Utah.

Caroline/Diana/Hippeux were the main tip offs for me. Although that's not what I thought Diana meant. Diana instantly made me think of Dirty Diana, a Michael Jackson song, and Archuleta covered MJ's song Thriller.
