I got changed and smiled. It was nice to be back in my gear. I barely ever got to wear it nowadays. I ran back down the stairs to the meeting. I didn't want to miss out on a mission.

"I read it because i quite like the storyline and every time you read it, you notice new parts that you didn't notice last time you read it." I frowned at the pile of cookbooks in my lap. "oh, erm, I'm good thanks." I moved them onto a table. She may look around my age, but she acted like she was 10. Wait- if she was this immature, would she know if I lied? "wait- I recognise that teddy bear... When i was about 13, I saved this little girl who had a teddy just like that...." I sat back and pondered this, or at least looked like I was.

"Good, now that everyone's here and ready, we'll move out." Xavier said. He saluted the other high-ranking officials and marched out the door with his team and deeper into the city. Once he got there he saw everything was a mess. There was rubble everywhere, possibly from an explosion, buildings torn apart, phone lines cut, the works. "Hey, can Kuroyuki sniff for some clues please?" Xavier asked.

"oh- um, er... Don't mention it..." I was prepared for almost anything, but a hug wasn't on that list. Never before had I been hugged by a girl who wasn't in my family. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. Oh well. I could figure that out later. At least my plan had been a success.
