{RP}: The Island

After the onslaught of crying, Junior decided that it was time to be productive. He stood up, wiped away any tears, put on his trademark smile and marched into "centre" of the campsite (well, it wasn't really a centre, it was just where the majority of people were) with the intention of helping out as much as he could.

I find myself slipping into the clutches of boredom, so I begin playing a jazzy rhythm on the conch shell.

Loud, almost rhythmic noises are coming from the hill. It can be heard from all over the island.

"You might as well, I got Yaff over there calling me Barnes like I'm some kind of soilder."
"Yeah, I prefer "Barnes" to "Junior"." I nod, then click my tongue rhythmically. "Your parents must hate you. Since they called you such a... weird name."

"Um..no" He quickly side steps another episode by changing the subject. "SO. Uh any jobs?"

"Go get me a mango," I smile. "that's what you can do for a job."

Junior decided quite quickly that he didn't like Olivia that much. Someone like that shouldn't be leader. I'm going to pick the worst mango for that witch.

I blow into the shell again, improvising a funky song.

The loud sound of the shell rings across the island.

Junior returns with an unripe mango, that he made sure had a worm in it. "Why are you doing that?" He asked Olivia

"Nothing else better to do." I say. I take the mango, open my mouth to thank him, but instead I frown at the fruit. "This is rotten."

"Oh sorry, That's the last one" Junior was adept at lying. His smile showed no sign of his deceit. "Now, are there any real jobs available?"

"There's no jobs." I say firmly, then toss the nasty mango into the distance. "You shouldn't lie to me, either."

Dodging through a crowd of people, Jade looks to find the source of the sound. It was a bit hard to get around crawling, but eventually she saw a female and a male having a conversation.
Maybe she's the leader... for the time being at least. Jade concluded and approached her.
