Yeah I definitely don't agree with everyone choosing who collects. That could easily be abused by mafia, especially if they have a rolecop-esque ability to let them know who has the strongest abilities and bully that person into collecting. We should trust people to judge their own abilities and when the correct time to use them is. And like I said, everyone should be aware that no ability is worth losing the game over.
If it makes you feel any better, I'll go ahead and say that I think my role is pretty important. Mafia puts a target on my head and I'm more likely to die.

And I've already contributed to the discussion that my ability is one time use and I'd like to use it, but if people lollygag instead of collecting then I'll take one for the team. My ability is very situational anyway and I've played enough as VT to get away with not relying on using it.
Ye, I think what's more important is people saying why or why not they would prefer to use their ability.
It's an important discussion, and a silent "hope other people egg up" is only beneficial to the mafia.
Like if you want the eggies to hash it out themselves they can, but I think most importantly is that no one uses it until everyone speaks up. Otherwise no one's gonna wanna hold a discussion.

Anecdotally speaking... my statement holds true.
My two cents- if people have roles that will be more helpful later on, or have roles that they think will have less impact at this stage of the game- it's a good time to collect an egg.
I mean I would agree, but it's good for people to say why they specifically do, or do not want to collect an egg.

if this is a themed thing, I'm gonna guess some of us have "specials" as abilities. where as I only have a "weapon" as an ability. to clearify I don't mean I have a weapon that kills another player in a mafia game, just flavour-wise I have a weapon that exists in Splatoon. And I think knowing weapons/specials help with figuring out ability/roles

i think we all have abilities so no worries on targets just yet
If not enough people volunteer, we could just take turns to fill the quota… idk maybe by order of sign up or reverse order.

Ive never had an ability before so I’m real excited about it. Not sure it’ll be that useful right now. So if not enough people volunteer, I’ll do it.
We still have tessa and ghost to come in. They may collect eggs depending on their abilities. (Mine I can wait to use, lol).
up to you if you wanna disclose your ability (name and/or what it does ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) ultimately it can either make you seem very inkling and paint a target on yourself or... fool everyone with your salmonid charades. but i guess it also depends on what you got
