Same island in two different Switches?

I was wondering if one can have the same island in 2 different Switches or it have to be 2 different islands?

You cant do that sadly.

Most nintendo games use the Nintendo cloud save.
Animal crossing has a special one specially designed to stop any possible duplication of items.
