You don't "unlock" Wi-Fi in Pokemon. It's available as soon as you boot up the game . .

you may wanna train/practice a bit though first... like in custom robo arena, i didnt go online until the end of my 2nd day with the game... and my win percentage is like mid-80s%, since a lot of people just headed straight online and i trained quite a bit.

Yeah, heading into Wi-Fi with a level 5 Chimchar isn't too bright. Go for mid 20's before.

They might have a Matchmaker where they pair you up with the same levels though. So that could be good.

I don't even think they're that awesome.




They call 'em "Legendary", meaning rare or one-of-a-kind or whatever, but the way I see it, even a spheal or something like that is more rare than a Rayquazza, or Lugia, Groudon, etc.

I like legendary Pokemon myself, but I wouldn't rely on them to win. That's reserved for Dragon Pokemon. <3

Right when I get the game, I'm going on Wi-Fi (or as soon as I can) to see all the modes of battle, so I can think before I catch all the Pokemon I'm going to use. :gyroidsmile:

But all Legendary pokemon would be overused on Wi-Fi, and I can tell.

Heres my experience on Wi-Fi:

People like to use T.T. on DKR DS.
People take advantage of drifting on MKDS.

And trust me, if Legendarys don't get blocked in any way, you'll be seeing a team of Uxies and Palkias, because people can easily trade with their friends to get a super-team if they are willing enough.

And lets hope that 'cloning' or 'duplication' cheats aren't found. Because there have been some in the past.

I'm probably going to use my Diamond Pokemon for online first but I hav about 30 Pokemon ready from Sapphire, LeafGreen, and Emerald.

@Ultra: Have you read through the different stuff on that site? There's lots of informaion.

Also, legendaries are called legendaries because they are legends. I don't know what else to say, but I'll probably have some legendaries on my Diamond team.

The 3 legendary psychic little guys dont' look too strong (Uxie, Azelf, and something else), but I do agree that people will be overusing legendaries (I probably will be too)

Legendaries never should have existed. They make up like...too much of the pokemon population. Sure 1 or 2 woulda' been alright, but they're takin' it a bit too far.

If theres not a Legendary block for Wi-Fi battles, that'll be a shame.
