Yeah, true story. Happened over the summer. I was actually Wi-Fiing with someone at the time and we were talking about how if it was as bright as Fuchsia, maybe it would have had a chance. Animal patrol ended up shooting it since there was no way for it to recover -- back and both hind legs were broken.

It's unfortunate, but I know from personal experience that 90% of people know when they've hit a deer. They are effective at not only stopping/totalling cars, but also a common cause of death in rural regions to which they are indigenous. :/

And a few cubs, deer, the two elephants I am missing, a couple of wolves, Broffina, Marina, I seriously need to sit down with myself and put them in order. When I see them up I know how bad I want them. Marshal was the main one and I was lucky enough to get him today

No, not that I'm aware of. They got out of their car to see what the damage was, then drove off. I called the police to get someone from Animal Control since the deer was on the front lawn, still alive, but not going anywhere. Saw them look at their car, but they must have left while I was on the phone with the dispatcher.

I live in a suburban area, but there are a lotta trees near me.

Reset! I did it 587354783 times then today after losing a raffle I went and reset twice and lo and behold the love of my animal crossing life was there!

I tried but for some reason I can't seem to get it down. I tried plot resetting and villagers kept moving in, even if I didn't even save. D: So I was obviously doing something wrong. ><;

Are you making new characters on days they're supposed to or could move in? You can't load any already-created character that day first at all or it automatically saves. It's not a plot reset at that point unless it's a villager already destined to move in like an invited camper or streetpass mover or something.
