I wasn't sure quite what to title this thread for a second because I wanted to call them television series but that makes me think of cable lol

What are your favorite series? What are you currently watching? Feel free to share opinions, and make recommendations.

I've been running my roommate through Breaking Bad and it's still a masterpiece. Does anyone have any thoughts on Netflix's Riverdale? I was considering trying it.

Breaking Bad is TOP tier.
I like Wentworth (women’s prison show like OITNB but Australian), The Haunting of Hill House, What We Do In The Shadows, Dexter, Norsemen, Skins, Awkward and a lot more but that’s what I can think of for now ^_^

What We Do In The Shadows is also top tier

i’ve currently been watching through Pose on netflix and it’s sssoooo good!! basically a show on gay nightlife in the 1980s in NYC, so a lot of ball room scene lol.

boulet brothers dragula seasons 2 and 3 are out on netflix right now too and i definitely recommend them! it’s a drag competition show but it’s waaayyyy more inclusive than a show like drag race. they showcase a lot of different kinds of drag.

also great british baking show is really good. just super easy to watch, and i often have it on in the background bc you don’t have to pay attention super hard

also i haven’t seen river dale, but all the people i’ve talked to haven’t really liked it :/ sometimes im tempted to give it a go though

I watched the first season of Dragula and was into it even though I'm not the biggest drag fan. It was definitely a lot more inclusive than Drag Race though, and I appreciated how creative their outfits were in comparison as well.

Also Ru Paul needs to grow up already and stop running that mouth without thinking.

Lucifer! I'm on season 3 so far and really liking it!

Technically Ducktales 2017 as well. LOVE it SO much!! It's on Disney Plus but I stream it cause I don't have Disney Plus whoops.

I binged Haikyuu!! on Netflix and it was really good!

If you enjoy cooking, try out Salt Fat Acid Heat on Netflix! It’s really interesting and will help you cook better.

I will always recommend Breaking Bad to anyone.

I'm currently watching Doom Patrol, Central Park, and Harley Quinn show as of late. Here are my opinions on those shows:

Doom Patrol - This is literally the best show I have ever seen as of late. It's hilarious, absurd, and perfected this unique balance between the latter, drama, comedy, and action. It's probably one of the best DC shows that I have seen, it's better then Titans and I haven't seen Stargirl yet but it's on to-watch list. Of course, it's rated MA but it's definitely worth it. I recommend staying till episode 5 before the "This is such an amazing show" feeling hits you but once it hits, it hits. My favorite character is Mr. Nobody. Season 2 has been a hit and not one episode has failed me in my mission in momentary happiness.

10/10 on HBO Max/DC Universe

Central Park
- Literally one of my now-favorite cartoons. The music hits the right urges, not limited by a particular genre. The animation is ok, like Bob Burgers but once a song plays, the animation goes full on fluid and it's beautiful. The humour is just like Bob Burgers though but that doesn't mean it's the exact jokes but like, the awkward...talk-like style. It's perfect and I love it. My favorite character is Bisty and Helen and the show is just, mwa. *chef kisses noise*

9.5/10 on Apple TV.

Harley Quinn
- This is one of those shows that can be classified as a "Serious Parody", which I can only describe as a plot driven....parody. The show is not only hilarious, but I feel like the relationship between Ivy and Harley is what makes this show. The side characters are also amazing, my favorite being Bane who is now this very sweet giant and deserves to be hugged. Each character plays their part amazing and the animation style is beautiful but the animation itself could be better, but it was hugely improved on during season 2. My only compliant is that the show is a little more plot driven during season 2 and it sort of loses some comedic moments that I expected from season 1. Still though, the plot driven parts aren't bad at all, it was just a sudden change due to season 2 releasing a month after the finale.

9/10 on HBO Max/DC Universe

Other shows I'll recommend is Infinity Train on HBO Max. First two seasons are amazing and the third season is coming next month.

I’ve been watching a couple of series on both Netflix and Hulu. I love them all to death, and they are shows that I have finished and I watch over and over again! I notice something new every time, so I’ll try and explain them without spoilers (because these shows deserve to be enjoyed). All of these are sitcoms, but I would give them a try regardless.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: My favorite show by far! It’s based around detectives in New York City (hence the name Brooklyn 99) and does have crimes/murder in it. It’s still going, but the season is over. If you are afraid of blood, I would not recommend. It doesn’t have it a lot, but it is murder so it does happen! There are many diverse people in the series and has amazing LGBT representation. It tackles hard topics and handles them well, and the humor in it is super smart and goofy! There are a lot of main characters, so I’ll just say that there is a goofy and silly detective, his loyal best friend, the local smart cookie who loves binders, the badass, the yogurt lover, and oafs, and the serious captain. 10/10, would watch 15 million times.
The Good Place: A show based on the afterlife. The world building is amazing and you can bond with the characters really well! The main character Eleanor Shellstrop is, well, dead. She finds that she has gotten into the Good Place! But... there’s a twist. The plot points and the twists are BIG and you wouldn’t see them coming in a million years. Big recommendation, I would give it a rating of 8/10. I don’t rewatch it often, but I enjoyed the show and it has some really quotable lines.
Parks and Recreation: A show based around a woman (Leslie Knope) in government. The show follows her and how she struggles and thrives in her department. It is really good story and it shows how she battles her town and tries to do all the good she can for the town she loves. My heart goes out to Leslie and it’s a super funny show! I would rate it a 9/10, it’s so good and I rewatch it a lot! The characters are iconic I can vibe with them so much.

Recently finished season three of Dark - the series where the plot continually expands and doesn't really go anywhere.

Some of my favorites are Mindhunter, The Witcher, Sherlock, Black Mirror, and Altered Carbon. Would recommend all of them. :)

oh boy so netflix shows ive been watching have been:

ALTA: a classic growing up i never saw avatar to completion so it was fun to watch the whole series its so great

BEASTARS: its an anime about a wolf that goes to school for animals and hes trying to find out who killed one of his classmates and its so good i love it so much i also highly recc the manga

THE WITCHER: its spicy i really loved it plus geralt is very spicy and it made me interested in the games

I'd highly recommend "Kaguya-sama: Love is War"! My bro and I laugh so hard when we watch it 😆 Not only is the comedy great, but the characters are lovable/well-written and the romance is cute! It's on Crunchyroll ✨ (might be on other streaming platforms, but I'm not sure)

Would also recommend Beastars (should be on Netflix?) The opening song has very creative visuals and is catchy as well! 🐺🐰
Similar to Zootopia in the sense where there's issues between animals of "predators" and those that are "prey"

I've heard that Riverdale's writing is so bad that it's... bad. The writing is just awkward, and the storylines are crazy. I think if you want a fun and crazy watch, it's worth it just to check out a few episodes, but it wouldn't really be my first choice.

I've been watching Skin Decision: Before and After. It's a show that features a plastic surgeon and esthetician who help two patients an episode. Though the show is a bit formulaic at times, and a bit cheesy at points, it's a nice watch!

I love that both the hosts are very respectful to their patients. You can tell that they care about them and their well-being. I love how the focus of the show is about empowering their patients and helping them feel confident in their skin, and enhancing their beauty within. And the patients that are featured come across as genuine, kind, and deserving people! On one episode for example, they help a mom of quadruplets who doesn't feel confident in her body anymore due to all the changes it went through after pregnancy, and who wants to take some time to treat herself for a change.

Like a lot of blood kinda like in medical shows or horror movies? Or just shots here and there? Wondering if I can handle it lol because that shows been on my to watch list for a while now!

I recently finished watching Brand New Animal and Hannibal on netflix! Brand New Animal is so pretty and has great music, I love Nazuna and Shirou 🥺 ❤ Hannibal was pretty scary and gorey but I really enjoyed it, tbh I liked the first season better and I didn't really enjoy the third (final) season/ the ending very much.

It’s definitely here and there! Most of the time it’s photos of the body, but the crime scene can still have the body some of the time. If you are looking for some episodes to avoid, I would suggest looking at season 6 episode 6 (The Crime Scene) and season 6 episode 17 (Sicko). Those are the most bloody ones I can think of off the top of my head. I would say that most episodes don’t really show a body, the murder cases are not that common and the crimes are more like robberies than anything. I really hope that you can watch it, but if it makes you uncomfortable then it’s totally understandable!

I only watch 2 shows on Netflix which are love alarm (waiting for season 2) and itaewon class which I still need to finish
i tried to watch riverdale but it just got rly cringe after awhile, I also watched friends for a bit when it was still on it
i prefer just watching random shows on Disney+ but I’ve finished almost every show on it lol
