Shiny

As a lot of you have probably noticed, the design for octopus villagers now looks super shiny and slimy-ish, like they just popped out of the ocean. I LOVE it.




Even Apollo's beak got a shine! Not to mention all the cute shiny eyes we will be getting. Which villager who we haven't seen yet are you most excited to see?


anyway I mainly just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to seeing how shiny and luscious they make Jambette's big, beautiful lips

I think that's one of Nintendo's strongest aspect this system generation.

Model polygon counts? Enough to get the job done and look newer than previous generations, but nothing stupendous.

Textures, Materials and Shaders? Making their games look incredibly strong by giving those lower poly models textures with material details that really get a good feel across.

I can't wait to just look and see how other materials look. I already know I'll just zone out watching the wind in the leaves...

They do indeed look much better than the last games. I've always wanted it to be a bit more realistic, and now we are! I can't wait to see everything and see how much the graphics and the villagers and their colors have improved.

I don’t remember Octavian looking so cute. Also, that shirt looks great on him.

Octavian does look cute. I can't wait to see what Zucker looks like in New Horizons, since he's one of my favorite octopus villagers. Animal Crossing: New Horizons graphics are definitely a step up from the previous AC games.

your jambette's lips comment kilt me and im found dead at my computer. it left me wondering if frog villagers get even shinier when it rains because they dont use an umbrella. or maybe at some points of the day, villagers are shinier than others (like sunrise and sunset). other than that, i cant wait to see stitches and all the sheep villagers in the game.

i can't wait to see the villagers who have are a little more unique in their designs. how will they tackle coco for example? will kid cat and scoot have properly modeled helmets? will merengue have food-like textures? i noticed how in some of the renders and footage the furry villagers seemed to have a soft almost plush or felt fabric look to them.
