Should I keep this map?

I've been trying to figure out if this map has potential or not, I've already been in this town for a day and really like my villagers (poppy, lobo and ankha), but it seems like my town is a bit cramped so I wanted your opinions. The only thing I don't like about the town is that the beach is on the right side, but everything else on my criteria list is checked (circle grass, apples, blue train station, town hall beside the plaza)

This map is almost perfect!
I think this map has great potential

Thank you! :) Yes, I think the only thing is Re-Tail being really far from the docks, but I never hunt for beetles in the island really :) But then I thought maybe because of the river, things could get really cramped and PW projects wouldn't fit anywhere.

perfect map omg *-* kill me
Hahah, this made me laugh!

the river looks like it could be kind of annoying, but it still looks workable. :) for example, you could fit the wisteria trellis PWP in that little strip of land on the left (right across the river from the blue house). it's nice too that you only have one pond.

hahahahahah sorry it's just so nice BAH and i have like 500 ponds so i'm super jealous

Now I'm jealous :( I love ponds! I think they're so pretty and cute, you can create so many cozy areas around them! Consider yourself lucky!

Yeah, that's a really neat idea! I was thinking maybe I should place my campsite where the blue house is maybe? And the cafe beside the waterfall, or maybe the other way around ... but then I would have to find another place where my second character could be though..

nooo ;-; they're impossible to build paths around and everything
like literally i have so many *sobs in corner*

I have only one pond two! Our ponds look the same and my friends keep saying it looks like a penis...but yeah, I like this layout!

you could also put your campsite on the top left portion of the map, but only if you got the villagers living there to move out. my campsite is in an area that looks very similar to that. then you could put the cafe near the waterfall and keep your blue house where it is. ^^

*pats head* don’t sob! You’re map is adorable! It is actually similar to the river shape I wanted!

HAHAH, that is SO true! I was thinking about that the whole time I was staring at my map. I don't know what the developers were thinking, but I guess that's a fun little characteristic thing about our towns! :p

omg that is a lot of ponds
but lykke, YES, you should keep that map. it's perfect

You guys are really, really good at convincing people! xD I think I’ll keep it! Thank you for your kind words! <3

I have almost the same map (same river, same town hall and tree placement) and I adore your villager placement :D

Yeah those dang penis ponds... I had to skip out on a bunch of maps in the beginning because of them. :p

If you think you'll enjoy playing it, then keep it.

I disagree with the others: I don't like it. The left side (both top-left and middle) of the map looks too cramped and, personally, that would annoy me when it comes to landscaping.

My map looked very similar to yours.
After a few months I got sick of the lack of space because of the twisty river, so you may not want to keep this map.

This is a photo of my old town, Dilvil, in June.
I now have a new town with a better layout.

I'd personally get annoyed at those thin bits of land where the river is near the wall. Especially for scorpion and tarantula hunting.

i don't like bendy rivers and thin sections of land, i have a pty strait river with 3 ponds and im pleased with my town

I have the same river layout (albeit mirrored), and yeah, it is fairly restrictive in terms of what can fit. The vertical strip to the left, in particular, is a little bit hard to work with.

Though I can't help but admire how silky smooth the edges of the river look.
