Yes, I did mean re-buy and not buy.. sadly. When ARMS first came out I bought it and loved it, but quickly sold it due to the online playing and how it was full of gross button spammers who would grab you over and over. Now I’m stuck at my house really bored and slowly starting to burn myself out on animal crossing and all my steam games. I downloaded the demo last night and enjoyed it! I love the style of the game. It would also be nice to have another game my boyfriend and I can play together!

is it worth the re-buy? Also, is the 2 player any good?

the 2 player is fun, the online play of it is still a little too annoying for me. overall the game feels more like a mini game to me since it’s fairly repetitive in terms of gameplay.

i bought it when it was on sale and don’t regret it.

Oh it was on sale? When? I really don’t wanna pay 60 dollars for it

i bought it over a year ago i think! it was on sale on amazon, saved like $10-15 iirc.
Ohh thank you! I’m gonna go searching for it c: maybe if I see a good deal I’ll buy!

Bumping to see if anyone else has any opinion~ Im on the fence lol

Honestly I think I'd only buy it if you could find it for $30 or less. It really to me seems like it should have been a pack in game with the switch, or have released at maybe the $40 mark. I enjoyed it when I played it at a friends house, but I surely wouldn't have paid $60 or $50 for it.

If you're looking for something fun to play during quarantine, I'd really recommend Super Mario Maker 2 if you haven't tried it yet. Basically infinite replay value and tons to do in the game. :)

OO interestin! I bought the first mario maker but got bored of it.. is the second one better?

For a casual experience, Mario Maker 2 is the better game. Mario Maker 1 had a higher possible skill ceiling, but that's only if you super grinded the game. :p In Mario Maker 2, they added a fully new play style in 3D World, and they updated the game recently where they have SMB2 added as well. There's also a Zelda costume like from Zelda 1, which gives new play aspects too.

Story mode might be fun if you're looking for a very casual experience to unlock some stuff. There are a ton of costumes to unlock to customize your Mii. Nintendo does "Ninji speedruns" as well, which are fun challenges to try to earn medals. There are also a LOT more levels created by people due to the Switch having a MUCH larger scope than the Wii U did.

Also there are quite a ton of new items added for making your own levels, as well as stuff like slopes, new themes, new enemies and bosses, etc. Definitely recommended if you like to create stuff or enjoy platformers. If I wasn't addicted to ACNH right now, I'd be grinding SMM2 still. :)

I might have to check it out! Thanks! c:

Yeah, to me it felt more like a mini game than a full fledged game. I'd wait for a sale or see if you can buy it used somewhere.

Personally i wouldn’t recommend it because of the poor online play and for the lack of an online community still engaging with the game itself

I just bought it a couple of days ago and I'm loving it! Apparently Ranked Mode is scarce so I stick to Party Matches and it's a lot of fun. I'm still relatively new to the game, but I haven't really encountered what you have; I have seen maybe 1 or 2 people trying to grab spam me and it hasn't ended well for them lol.

I bought it full-price on the eShop, only because I wanted a new copy and where I live, EB Games doesn't sell the game physically anymore. I know it's a three-year old game, but for me, it's something I haven't ever played before and is genuinely fun. I feel like it'll be great with friends especially, since the learning curve isn't as high as games like Smash.
