Should there be an Animal Crossing movie?

Would it be a good idea? Do you think it would help make people more aware of Animal Crossing? Should it be animated? Live action humans with animated animal villagers? What should the story be?

There is one. - If they were to make another, I'd be fine with the animated style of the first.
Live action would look uncanny I'd imagine. I'm not sure what the story would be, as the general idea of Animal Crossing was already captured. Maybe a sequel of the first, but continued with Animal Crossing Switch's content could be interesting.

Should they add her as a character in a game? There is already Sally squirrel but I am not bothered by characters having the same name!

I'd love to see another one, but I don't think live action would suit the style of these games very well. They're extremely stylized, so I'm not sure how live action would suit the series better than another animated movie.

I think a 3d animated movie would look really good (including an animated villager, not a live actor). Another anime-styled movie would also be cute

Yess, if directed by the right people it has the potential to be adorable. Its super unlikely though since ac doesnt really have a cult following like lego, pokemon etc

I have thought about this a little while ago, and my opinion is that Animal Crossing could work in an animated medium, but that it would probably be best as a series of episodic shorts. I don't think they will make another movie. Animal Crossing just doesn't really work in that kind of format, which is why the Animal Crossing movie received such mixed reviews.

Perhaps Nintendo will decide to create some animated Animal Crossing shorts, similar to Pikmin Short Movies. I think something like that could be really good. Please no live action. That would clash so much with Animal Crossing's art style.

If they made a movie with the plot of ACNL (where the character arrives and is mistaken as the town's new mayor) I wouldn't complain! I think it'd make for a cute movie, just a step above the current animated one

Well, there is already one, which, for whatever reason, never got a official English
dub, which is really dumb, because I don't understand why they never made dubs
for this movie...

What I would really, REALLY like to see is another animated AC movie which is made
in the same way as the CoroCoro Animal Crossing manga (also known as Kouhee's
Animal Crossing New Leaf), which is so bizarre and silly, it would be amazing to see
this in form of a movie.

When it comes to a live-action movie... Ugh. I try to imagine right now how certain
villagers would look like if they would use the same way of designs they used in the
Detective Pikachu movie. If it would be a comedy movie (= the same kind of humor
they used for the manga I mentioned before), not using kid actors, but maybe teens
or young adults, no celebrities, a good realistic design for the villager as well as good
setting and story, then it could work... Or not, it's hard to tell at this point.
