yea i think it was a bad idea of nintendo to put these events together. the easter event overshadows the cherry blossoms and it makes me sad

Me as well!
I think the trees could have sprouted but perhaps the event happens after Easter is over, or a week or two before.
It really was a poor choice putting them together. I couldn't even find DIYs for the cherry blossoms, I had to get everything crafted by a friend because literally all my island gets is egg balloons.
The frequency of eggs is decreased, but the frequency of my villagers talking about eggs is not.
Mine talk about all kinds of nonsense. I usually find talking to them more than once stops the issue. Like, the first time you talk to them, they mention eggs sometimes, but after that they go back to talking about regular stuff.
I find that unlike NL, NH encourages the player to talk to the villagers multiple times. Usually, the first thing they say is something generic or references current events (usually about eggs right now). But if you talk to them a few more times, they start talking about other stuff.
When I have villagers ask me to do a favour for them, I find that it takes around the 3 or 4 times of talking to them before they bring it up.

I talk to them on repeat, which is why this is so annoying, because multiple times in the same conversation they'll mention the exact same thing about eggs. Is my Switch glitched?
And then when you talk to them a second them, they’re all like “oh, you again”
I think we’d feel differently about it if the event were more fun, rewarding, and less repetitive in general. As it is though, their excitement about it just grates on me.

Does it do this in the Japanese version as well? I would also they would have more cherry blossom compared to us...yea i think it was a bad idea of nintendo to put these events together. the easter event overshadows the cherry blossoms and it makes me sad

Ideally, the Bunny Day event wouldn't have started until a week after April began and it wouldn't overlap with the Cherry Blossom event. That way, everyone could get their new April bugs/fish and not have to worry about grinding both recipe types.
