I'm actually still surprised that this hasn't started yet. Does the Smash community not play customs? I admit I don't use customs either, but nothing is stopping anyone from using a normal set.

Smash 4 EVO was customs, maybe an Animal Crossing based forum just isn't the ideal community for a Smash tournament.

We had a normal tournament just fine. It's not the problem of not enough players, it's the problem that this is a customs tournament. Sure people don't have to use them, but they also have no idea how to fight against them.

This still hasn't started? I actually think a custom battles tourney is an interesting idea (even though I'm not using any custom moves). Hopefully this'll kick off sooner rather than later.

Okay, I contacted RhinoK to see when will be a good time to do the matches against him and just waiting for a reply from him now.

Also, how long do we have to finish our Round 1 matches?

And I'm assuming this is best 2 out of 3 for each set of characters we each use?

2 days from now, so around 9 PM PST on July 23rd.
Yeah best 2 out of 3. You don't have to change every round though. If there's 1character you're confident about, you can use that 1 character in every match.

Aso a general reminder that you can use whatever in the first round, but after that, the customs you have are set, no changing.
