Snake Villagers and a Casino

i’m yelling at the fact that this got bumped from 2019 lmao but reptile villagers would be so cool!! i’d honestly,, do anything for some gecko and axolotl villagers :’)

I would love to have something like a restaurant, which basically functions as a place where you can both meet your own villagers as well as some which aren't living on your island and just being around there as visitors. Kinda like how the city worked in City Folk.

Other than that, I would welcome the addition of bat villagers or any new species in general.

A garbage man Opossum who comes in the evenings, give him trash and he'll give you more recycled/garbage diys.
Ah, that sounds so neat, I love this idea!

I was kind of confused when I saw a reply about 'wanting Isabelle to be the mayor and not secretary. I thought I stumbled into the NL forum by mistake, than I realized this topic was really necro-bumped.

It's be kind of cool to be able to swim in the other water besides the ocean. I always dreamed about being able to float in a tube down a stream like one of those lazy river attractions.

Pangolin villagers. They could look really interesting with their scales.

And visitors. I'd like to have visitors to my island who are related to my residents. This could happen, say, twice a month. Someone's grandma, sibling, childhood friend. It could begin with an announcement from the airport that we have a visitor. We can then look for them around the island and, when we find them, get introduced by our resident to grandma/sibling/childhood friend. We get a chance to play host, suggesting an activity (visiting the museum, having a picnic by the river, fishing at a pond, etc) for them and, if they had a great time, we'd get a gift from the visitor before they leave.

As much as that would be great, due to pangolins being very close in nature to anteaters and with Anabelle in the game. If we ever do have more pangolin villagers, they would just be uniquely designed anteater villagers.

True! They are anteaters with armour scales. And Anabelle is the pangolin among anteaters.

I can't draw to save my life but, in my head, I can imagine them looking very different, enough to be distinguishable from the other anteaters. Less cartoonish, more realistic? I don't think for a second it'll happen because, as you've pointed out, anteaters are in the game, but it's still fun to imagine the possibilities. :)

Otter villagers and interactive "pets". So pets that you could either set to follow you around your island as you go around or you could set them to stay in a given room in your house to interact with only that area (would be able to interact with pet beds/food bowl etc).

omgs yes i would LOOVE reptile villagers, and bats.
Bats would be so adorable...hnhnhnhnhngn, need.

I know the point of this thread was before NH came out, but it's always fun to talk about the future of the series.

I for one want ANY kind of reptile added. Currently we have... Alligator. That's it. And the only other villagers that aren't mammals or birds are... Frogs and octopuses? Unless I'm forgetting one? That's very low and should definitely be more diverse.

I do like the idea of bats though, as many have mentioned. They sound so cute. It also makes me think that villagers should have some kind of diurnal/nocturnal value. So like most of the bats, some of the cats, most of the wolves, a few eagles, etc, they should have a value in their coding that makes them nocturnal and therefore their hours are flipped, so they're awake at night. Might be nice for those people that can't always play in the day but don't wanna change the clock, as well as give more variety to those that play any time during the day. They could have special dialogue too, kinda like when your villagers talk about how late it is, maybe you log on at 5 in the morning and there's a bat walking around and he's like "wow the sun's coming up, its way past my bedtime" or something to that effect.

when i first bought the game, and i met flick for the first time, i had such high hopes that reptiles would be one of the species for the villagers. having some grumpy turtles romping around would be amazing - or a bearded dragon. i have no idea, i honestly don't, but i would find it the most adorable addition to the game.

i'd love to see a fennec fox-inspired villager, guh 😍 even adding the species that we've seen as villagers would be so lovely; owls, skunks, foxes, racoons (any species of racoon, honestly), etc. there's so many different things from the animal kingdom that they could have thrown in there, so it's definitely understandable why they had a cut off eventually.

it makes the 'special' npcs feel more special, in my opinion.

A little obscure and not very possible, but I’d love to see moth/butterfly villagers or at least a special NPC. There’s so many really beautiful species

Snake villagers are my most wanted villager type. Snakes are my favourite reptile (just look at my username). I would be thrilled if they added them in. Honestly, I am disappointed with the lack of new villager types and new villagers in general. I would really hoping with more diversity like snakes, seals, foxes, owls, lizards, etc.

In one of my hotels, I made my own casino with the PC Brake Tappers and arcade machines. I know Nintendo will never implement gambling areas so I made my own ;)

One idea I had was adventure islands. They would be unique islands like that May Day island with Rover. Maybe Kapp'n appears at the dock (thats never used) and has an old treasure map to an undiscovered island. You agree to go with them and go through different islands receive unique rewards. Maybe furniture or decorations that are unorderable. True, it sounds very similar to Gulliver and PC which everyone hated but still...that dock needs to be used for something

I'd love the option to be an animal in animal crossing. And you get to choose what species and what you look like.
I'd love an element of exploration (to cities or in-game villages) and do mini-games or quests for other NPCs.
I'd like it if you could hang out with NPCs and befriend them. Maybe get invited over to Nook's house (manor?) and see what's life like for him for example.

Why many people hate casinos, yes it is considered gambling, but if you are a smart person, you can earn a lot of money

Probably because it's controversial to have in games, sometimes.
Pokemon had gambling in HGSS, but they were removed in western releases and Korean ones I think, and replaced with a card game of chance instead, and this was years ago. Things only continue to get stricter with topics like this. Adding a casino might guarantee that we won't get the game in its original form, if we get it at all.

I don’t know, a cemetery would be nice. I made my own, but one some sort of building structure like a catacomb or something would be nice.

There needs to be more variety of animal species in the next Animal Crossing game considering that we are kinda getting tired of seeing the same species. The ones that don't get enough attention are Octopus villagers since we have 3: Zucker, Marina, and Octivian. There is also Inkwell but he was only in New Leaf and didn't make a return in New Horizons.

The one animal type I would like to see is a Giraffe types. Gracie Grace is the only one that is a Giraffe yet there is no villager type Giraffes? There is so much potential! Same thing with Owl villagers we only have 2 NPC owls (Blathers and Celeste). Just saying more animal species that we never seen before and ones that don't get enough attention will make finding villagers a lot more exciting.

The idea of snake villagers is strange to me because how would they hold things? I guess it could work somehow.

If they ever added a casino to ACNH, omg, that'd be amazing. Even though it's super easy to get tons of IGB by abusing time travel, it'd still be a lot of fun gambling.
