I enjoyed it. It was really cool seeing what you can do making all of the villagers (Clients) their own home and I was just done building the school and classroom which was really was a lot of work. I am playing this in order to prepare for the Happy Home Paradise DLC for New Horizions just to get an idea of what I'm in for when the update comes out. So far with HHD its really interesting and I really do like designing homes.

I loved making all the facilities in HHD, the main street expands as you play so there are many more to unlock like the school. Customizing front yards and the house exteriors was really cool too!

And it was fun seeing all the villagers interact with each other in all the different buildings.

I've actually never tried HHD, I should someday. I'm still geting the DLC for ACNH cuz the new NPCs make me want to melt (in a good way)

HHD’s adorable. The one thing I wish it had was some sort of budget or scoring metric - once you unlock most of the furniture options, it almost gets a bit too open. But I also prefer having a bit more structure in general with these creative games.

Just finished the game. It was so awesome. Being able to design a lot of facilities however, you wanted to do, and making all those villages their own dream home was so cool. I got a bit teary eyed when I got to the credits, because it was showing all the pictures of all the places I designed. Now that I played this game I am more excited to try out Happy Home Paradise update for New Horizons!

Its such a fun spinoff to play. Ironically I have more skills in decorating there than I do on the Switch. (That may change of course) So much so that I made some original houses that look extraordinarily good than the average player. I'd show them but I feel that if I do I'm just begging for attention, but still, the fact that I may just incorporate those houses into HHP may just be what I'm about to do.

The only thing I'm sad that we can't do is have the house length 12x8, now it can only be 10x8 IIRC.

I played it when it came out. It's been a while, but I remember it getting super repetitive, especially after you finished the main buildings and only had the houses to work on.

I think it'll work better as an add-on you can play while playing New Horizons. The concept wasn't strong enough for a full title in the first game, the additional walls and roommates already add a lot of variety to what I remember from HHD.

It definitely was amazing when it came out though, because the interior design in New Leaf sucked.

Yeah not gonna lie it does get repetitive once you are done building all the facilities around the town. Happy Home Paradise should provide a whole lot more than just designing homes and facilities. That roommate feature is pretty interesting to me.

I think the funniest thing about the game is the random villagers that get put into some of the facilities and just the crazy things they say. The other day I booted up my game and I went into my hospital. There was a villager (can't remember who) laying on one of the hospital beds making the sick animation. Bud was there as one of the doctors and said some line about thinking the patient needed to do chin-ups as his treatment. Yet the villager was there passed out, seeming like it had a fever. Bud, I think your doctor's license is suss. Maybe you bought it from Redd. :ROFLMAO:

I liked HHD, but it felt meaningless since it were just a spin off game, but since HHP will be part of New Horizons I'm really excited to get into it, and take my creativity even further. and the fact that you get more furniture, abilities, and items to bring to your island is great.
Also for the school I'm definitely making it Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc inspired.

Yeah I always found it weird how this game never connected to AC New Leaf. I sometimes wonder if this game was part of New Leaf instead of the Welcome Amiibo update, maybe people would appreciate it more, but I do take your point that they are being smart with Happy Home Paradise since it is like a new game, but its linked with New Horizons.

i finished maybe half of the villager houses in hdd back in 2016 or something. it's a fun game and i agree that the facilities were fun to design!! i'm looking forward to the nh dlc, it'll be a fun addition to the game. hhd was groundbreaking in ways hhp probably won't be because we got half tile placement, outside furniture and hanging furniture, things we never had before (and a lot of new furniture that was later added to new leaf as well). now all those things are in (or are coming to, in the case of hanging furniture) new horizons :3

After they announced HHP I went back and played HHD. It was still really enjoyable to me! I was never into designing houses in animal crossing until I played HHD.

And to not mention all of those facilities that were so big and they had so much furniture you can place inside them, it was so mind blowing.
