I doubt it. My Wii U was out of warranty and one of their software updates broke it a few months ago. They charged me $100 and my data was lost.

Hyrule Warriors is good...But way too repetitive and easy for me to play for long periods .

It makes sense (as the reddit user says) that it's a problem that would be more 'widely known' since Smash is a big system seller. Can't say I've heard of the issue before though :/

I'm still weary of playing it though...But on the other hand, 5 of the other 7 games I actually own on WiiU are on that list of games causing it...So I guess I'll just stay away from online till Nintendo announces something?


I think if this is just a problem with the WiiU in general and not specifically Smash, news websites need to report things a little better, because all the 'gaming news' sites I've come across say practically the same thing.

if by practically the same you mean barely at all because the mechanics suit the 3ds not the WiiU and the controls feel different. But youve been trolling all night

I dunno...Mechanically they feel like they're practically the same game to me. The controls obviously feel different but I'm comfortable with both (as well as being able to play Smash U with a 3DS as a controller).

I dislike 8 player Smash and Smash Tour, so the only real defining differences to me are the graphics and the maps.

If you have been playing Smash and you haven't gotten it, you should be fine. This is only happening to certain Wii Us with the error.
