I have a villager who asked to move. I said yes for the time being because I didn't know if I wanted them to actually move. It's now the day before they are supposed to leave and I decided I want them to stay. I have talked to them so many times in a row and they have not said one time the thing they usually say like, "Tomorrow is moving day, I can't believe it!" and then it gives you the option to tell them to stay or continue with their plans.

I have been playing this game since release and have been moving villagers in and out for a while and I have NEVER seen this!

Is it impossible for them to change their mind on the day before move out? Something I never knew? I'm so confused and annoyed to be honest. :/

You can change their mind after you tell them to move! What you said basically. They say they're unsure and you say yeah you're right stay. It happened to
Me with hamphry. I really wanted him gone but then after the second day of him preparing to move I kind of regretted my decision and I was talking to him and he offered to stay. Basically as long as they're not in boxes, you have time

Sometimes, when a villager told me another was thinking of moving, I could not get the one thinking about it to fess up. LOL I did find that if I switched to secondary characters, the thinking-about-moving villager spoke to one of the secondaries quite quickly. If you have other characters, it is worth a shot.

Yes! One time Mitzi told me she was going to move out and then when it came to the day she was still there. (Sorry, Mitzi, but I really wanted her gone). I didn't bother time travelling to the moving out day and I think I only talked to her once in between.

Yeah, when Molly was leaving I still spoke to her afterwards and I wasn't given the option to change her mind. I wouldn't have done anyways but it was sad knowing that I wasn't able to even if I had wanted to.
