Something I am looking forward to the most with New Horizons.

Is the trading. With New Leaf, everyone had everything to some capacity, or knew how to get desired items quickly, but with New Horizons, we're all going in pretty much blind.

I'm especially looking forward to the thought of trading for in-game Bells again since they're going to be desirable again since everyone is starting off pretty much fresh again, be it items, materials or even villagers. I'm just looking forward to seeing that 'economy' build up all over again over the next few months after the game releases next month.

This really will be super cool to see, I can't wait for this game.

Yeah, the fact that it’s a worldwide release and Nintendo has been scarce with providing new info, we’re all gonna be on the same page.

This is an unpopular opinion on my end, I think, but I'm glad they haven't shown much on the games. I don't want to see a series like Animal Crossing get the Pokemon treatment where they show waaaay too much. Animal Crossing's charm is the unknown for me.

Its one of the reasons why Pokemon Sword & Shield were so great for me, because they had not shown much information as they have in previous titles.

I'm excited for this too!!! With NL it felt like the economy already had an idea as to what would be popular, how to charge for it, etc. Now we have no idea what new items or villagers we will get, any clue how shops in the game work, the best way to get bells, or anything that could influence prices from the beginning.

It's just very exciting knowing I won't have to pay an arm and a leg IG to get certain items right away.

Same here, I wonder if it’ll give us an option like city folk, and allow us to transfer our other characters (not the mayor one of course) to the island, probably not but I can dream

I wish we didn't have to trade or do anything online.

$30 a year in Australia for nintendo online, just to trade a couple of times.

If it's just a few times, go onto you your nintendo account and do some activities to get coins and then you can buy the free nintendo online trial for a week a month.

I haven't been keeping up with NH info at all so I'm definitely jumping in blind. Really looking forward to it.

I don't play online.
I'm against forced internet.

I also don't own a PC.

I’m good with not knowing much too! It makes it more exciting. I started ACNL a year late so I already read up on some guides and easily got items I needed through trading with forum currency. I’m excited to do some trades with hard earned in-game bells!

Similar sort of thing with not knowing much about the game before release and having it a worldwide simultaneous release:

I'm most looking forward to discovering things alongside other forum users. Like what recipes there are, what fish you can catch, and trying to figure out how the game works together!

I can't wait till we can compare our maps and starting villagers. The community aspect of Animal Crossing enhances the experience so much for me!

I am excited for this as well. I am also excited that the game isn't spoiled for me. Since with New Leaf it came out in Japan like 8 months earlier I watched it on youtube and knew absolutely everything about the game before I got it. Yes this wait has been hard, but with only 42 days left...I kinda don't want a big direct showing off everything. the small info we have been getting is making me more excited for this game.

Then don't get Nintendo Switch Online. It isn't like you need it to enjoy the game, but you definitely don't have to come in here just to be a little negative. Look at the positives.

But, 30$ for a year is cheap considering what other companies charge per month for a subscription of any sort.

I wasn't being negative at all. I was simply posting that I'm not a fan of online gaming.

I want to be able to trade, that's why I'm going to pay it.

I have ongoing medical expenses as well.

I'm excited that I will be starting at the same time as everyone else. Plus it's a sense of mystery. For animal crossing you can always search up how to unlock things. But on the new game no one is really going to know. I'm really excited to get playing!

I’m not sure I care as much about the ‘economy’ so much per say, but I definitely think we’re going to see the online community more active and alive then ever with this game and I’m looking forward to that.

Same here because at some point we will end up accumulating a lot of bells, items or close to finishing up and there won't be much of trades going on with specific people. Also I can't wait to help people specially new comers. The feeling of helping out and actually thanking you feels amazing! (unless they don't bother saying thank you just you know pisses me off even if I wanna help)

I agree. I'm actually glad they haven't given us too much information on the game. Sometimes it's kinda nice to discover new things each and everyday. I plan on doing a lot of trading as well, as I would really like to save up tbt for art of my character and possibly collectibles too. I've just seen so much cute art lately and some of the collectibles are pretty cool. Also, I love helping other people get items they need for their game, so trading will be fun.

I'm gonna enjoy the early stages of the game where everybody's chill and not the mid-late stages where it becomes hardcore scary trading.
