Speculation about Mr. Resetti's new job

Since Mr. Resetti lost his old job to the autosave feature in the new game I was thinking of what his new job could be. I figured since we can now lay down our own paths that he might run a shop where you can pick what kind of paths you want to lay down( stone, brick, dirt). I thought this would be fitting because hes a mole who digs tunnles and works around dirt.

Since his name is still Resetti (I assume), I’m thinking they might give him a job that is related to resetting some aspect of the game. Maybe he’ll be the one you go to when you want to reset your whole island and start over.
Or, he might have a job where he can reset building placement? Or undo/reset bridge placement or some other island features?

I guess he will get some kind of job where he can help the player to change certain parts on the
island. Maybe he's able to destroy rocks or objects that are in the way so that you can build your
shops or villager houses on the spots you want to have them. Or he teams up with Leaf and will
get a job that has something to do with landscaping.

I agree. Maybe you could even buy certain upgrades from him that would make the path laying a faster process. Fencing could be the same.

I actually just read the youtube comments of GameXplain's video on Resetti, and a guy suggested that instead of him yelling at you for resets, he yells at you every time you time travel, which would be hilarous. He would scare kids from doing it if they planned to abuse it, but would probably be softer about it if its only an occasional move.

I wouldn't invest in a Switch if this happened.

What if he gets a new job that causes a complete 180 in his personality? Even if you encounter Resetti outside of his work, he's always been such a cranky grumpus. The news of his new job search has me entertaining the idea of his finding a job he really enjoys ( It'a pretty clear he was never fond of reset patrolling ) resulting him being more pleasant to the player and more content/relaxed.

It's kinda hard for me to imagine Resetti without his fierce temper.

I could see him in a Hawaiian shirt, chilling on Tortimer's Island now mellowed from finally being released from the thankless job of gate-keeping the save function.

Another thought I had: What if Resetti has a secret hobby and he now gets a job that has something
to do with said hobby. Like he gets a job no one saw coming.

i imagine it has to do with the fact that resetti has literally made tons of children cry haha. no one likes being yelled at, even if it's a game. especially if it's one as cute and fluffy and relaxing as animal crossing. those kind of memories leave strong impressions.

in wild world i remember encountering frequent glitches with him so much where no matter how many times after i "repeat after him" the text would register as incorrect. then i'd have to do it over and over and over or give up and turn off my DS. which of course just lead to the whole thing happening again until the game finally stopped glitching. i'm still a bit bitter from it.

I don't think resetting for any reason, is cheating.

It's my game.

If I make a mistake, destroy something or hit the wrong response to an animal I will reset.
