Splatoon Splatoon General Discussion (HYPE THREAD)

I've been playing splatoon non stopped and I'm already at level 17 rank B-. I decied to buy the octobrush nouveau but I didn't really like it so I'm sticking to the inkbrush nouveau. The splattershot is also my favourite to use in rank.
 
Today I decided to try the .96 Gal Deco.

At first, it was like "OH MY GOOOOOOD THIS WEAPON IS SO SLOW IT FEELS LIKE IM PLAYING THIS GAME IN SLOW MOTION UUUUUUUUUGH"

But after a bit I got used to it. I should definetly start stacking on a few Run Speed Ups but it seems fine.
It's a fun weapon. Very fun. For some reason I'm better at using the Kraken in this weapon than on other weapons such as the Octobrush.
Speaking of the Octobrush, I'm getting a lot better at it. It's a fun melee weapon and I prefer it over the Inkbrushes.
I tried out the Nouveau version today and although I prefer the splat bombs to the squid beacons the regular one has, I cannot use the Inkzooka. I deliberately avoid any weapon with the Inkzooka because it's just too hard for me to use. You'd expect a charger main like me to be able to use it efficiently because it basically is a more powerful charger. But I can't. I don't know why. Maybe it's the knock back, I don't know.
 
*huge sigh of relief* I finally beat DJ Octavio on the girl amiibo, so I finally get that hero charger replica. ^^ That was... stressful. But, it made good practice for using a charger and I must say, I may try to start using them in battles now. I use them in ranked rather decently. XD The only reason I did it just was because servers seem to be down, so I can't access splatfest right now like I wanted to.

Speaking of which, has anyone else got the server problem? Like, my wii u is connected to the internet fine, but splatfest isn't running nor can I enter the shops or go online.

Is the EU Splatfest still going? I''ve completely forgotten about it until now, and I don't want to miss out on my first Splatfest.

At the time you posted? Yes. It runs until 6pm in the UK, so I guess base it off of there if you live somewhere else. XDD

As of now though, the EU splatfest should be over unless they extended it because of the servers going down.

Anyway, does anyone feel like messing around with me in private battles a bit later? I feel like just derping around XDD
 
I am going to play some Ranked matches now, are there people interested to join?

I would love to squad with you guys! :)
 
Ranked is a little crazy for me right now. Yesterday I had a solid winning streak when all of a sudden I had an even bigger losing streak! It was awful. So for right now I don't think I'll be doing rank until I can shake off this bad luck.
