I guess the bunny day event lasts a full 12 days and will be implemented in a day one patch. 1.1.0a with a required Nintendo Account to access it. The event lasts from April 1st to April 12th. Even if you time travels to the event it won't start until the actual day because you have to connect to the internet on April 1st. I don't know how I feel about this... it feels too much like pocket camp to me. I don't know how they can keep an event going for 12 days and keep it interesting. Also, what happens if you don't have access to the internet? you just don't get holidays? I hope they implement it where once it's in your game it stays in there and you don't have to update every spring. what do you guys think?

The next thing will be transactions implemented into the game at this rate

Me too hope that once the events are introduced, they will stay in the game so for anyone who would like to time travel back and revisit one can do so.

What does the event do? Alot of people have to wait tetting the game cuz of current events.

I do hope events follow the long form trend for folks like me who often work on holidays and have to time travel to experience them in game, but 12 days does seem on the long side.

Also hoping that once the content is downloaded April 1st that it stays in-game for the next year, but who knows?

I strong disagree, this is a main series Animal Crossing game after all. How they get you getting you amibbos(and that works for so many.). Pocket Camp is on a totally different formula its on a typical mirotransaction app, it will try to get you spend money on that app to get New horizon related items probably but I am just about certain it not in New Horizons.

For me personally it is still too early to tell, i do find it curious that it is 12 days(you like 12 days lf christmas xD)

Tbh why is there stress over event length, most AC events are standalone and pretty wide apart imo just means more time to get exclusive rewards before it's over :') But oh well also it IS NOT pocket camp they may down the line add big DLC but I dont see this as a kind of microtransaction. :'> I'm definitely down for longer holidays I sometimes feel tired some days w/ my health so longer for me helps me keep up :') Also guys keep in mind many have jobs etc. longer for many equals helpful in busy lives/hectic situations. o/

We get a longer event and people are still annoyed ;o; I would say just wait and see. We can't tell how it's going to be :)

I just thought of something, We’re are not asking the important question xd what will happen to Blanca? If Bunny day starts on the 1st, are they going to do a joint event? Or sorry blanca joke on you :(.

I really wonder how it's going to work out. I hope it's not an event where you have to log in for the full 12 days. But it would be great if we got a little more time to play the events. I barely played any in NL because the holidays just happen to be the days where I cannot log in!

So if we have more room/time to play them, I'd love it. But not if it meant checking in every day specifically. We'll see!

@above: So from what I read Blanca was not found in the code of the game so I think she won't be here :(

I love the update aspect of the holidays, this may give the developers an opportunity to do something different every year, which would be amazing and keep me playing for years.

12 days is a long time. As long as I can still do other things, then I won’t care. In new leaf whenever a holiday occurred all the villagers wouldn’t give you tasks and you couldn’t do your mayoral duties.

On the plus side, a longer event lifespan means I won’t have to dedicate one specific day to do the holiday. A lot of holiday correspond to real life holidays and it can make playing the game on the actual holiday kinda difficult.

I honestly have mixed feelings about it. While we get a longer holiday, it also means internet is required lol. It'll just take some getting used to I guess.

I'm on board with them locking the start of events behind a hard start date. Yes, I know, people should be able to play how they want, but this keep spoilers limited significantly.

The "event" lasting 12 days may also be the general decorations of the town/dialogue special to this event and how long they will last.
Easter is on april 12th; the last day of this bunny day "event". Its likely the 11 other days will be spent preparing for bunny day and the 12th will be the actual event

Edit;
I think it would be really cute to help the villagers craft decorations and see if we get to pick what store fronts look like!!! Then coming together on bunny day to celebrate with zipper c:
It would be even funnier if isabelle asks for mysterious supplies but wont tell you what they're for; making the zipper costume!

Perhaps its long because some people will only be in starting stages and they want people to have time to complete the event. if you need a specific amount of eggs, people who cant get across rivers might be unable to properly participate if the event lasted less than a week

I think it’s a pretty good idea actually. It gives everyone’s who’s set on collecting (me) a better chance of getting everything and and it probably removes the issue of holidays being on actual holidays and some people didn’t get the chance to play on Christmas or Easter.

That would be really bad for people who dont have the game since day one. I still dont have money for a switch bc i had more important things to pay for and probably wont be getting the game in months. I don't want to have to rely on hackers just to get holiday items like how it happened with New Leaf and dlc items

Personally, I like the fact that events are longer.
Gives people who have work and other obligations (outside the AC world, you know) to complete them and not miss out.

considering that the only instance in which i would time travel is if i missed out on playing a holiday, i'm glad if it'll be multiple days instead of just one day.
