Voting for Volt, in the grand scheme of things, likely wouldn't do much. I don't see many people coming to Volt's defense, actually, more likely my vote being the start of a wagon (assuming I'd be the first vote, given there currently are no votes for Volt.) considering what people have said about being okay to vote Volt. Maybe not a wagon big enough to cause a lynch with the Kat wagon to play, but still. Who voted Volt would be useful if a lynch did happen and Volt flipped town - especially if anyone chose to vote Volt because they didn't want to vote Kat (maf buddies trying to protect?). If Volt was lynched and flipped red, however, I'm not sure if I'd be able to pinpoint any notable interactions between other players as to who might be teamed up, since, like I said, no-one really seems to be particularly sided with Volt for much. If there was no lynch on Volt, I think who voted the same as me wouldn't be useful information until later into the game.

On the other hand, placing a vote for Kat is more likely to actually have a lynch at the end of it, considering that wagon has already started. If Kat flipped town, I think I would certainly need to give Teddy a good look. Some have mentioned that Teddy+Kat looks town/town but I am more convinced that it's two different sides there, at least currently. Teddy's reaction to a Kat lynch would, of course, be helpful in making this judgement. Similar with Geoni. If Kat flipped red, I think it would be much easier to pick out or rule out potential partners since Kat has been interacting with the rest of the player base significantly more than Volt has.

I don't know if this kind of thought is useful to us rn because a) you could be seeing trundle and geoni as a threat b) you think that people wouldnt risk geoni both because he could be a good ally for town and people still have the misslynch for last game in their minds or, in case you are town c) actually I dont think if one of them is maf you give us any closure on who is other ones, it is just good that it's one mad down. My point is that this is an infinite loop of hypothesis acrobatics and it can make anyone second guess their vote

I see your point of view and I can discard what I said, but I meant these were one of the bajillion suppositions that can be made about geoni and trundle at this point of the game.

I know you put this role in green - but this actually doesn't tell us anything. I'd guess at a power role, though. Being Donald Trump means nothing since it's not like "I'm Jester" or "I'm vanilla town" or something like that, you're claiming a name, not a role, not any abilities. I have given a name in my PM too, but if I told you the name, it doesn't actually mean anything because we don't have a comprehensive list of which names match with which abilities/roles/alignments. Going out on a limb, there's only one Donald Trump in the game, so there's absolutely no-one that can back you up here saying Donald Trump is in fact a town role. Donald Trump fighting for the people doesn't sound very accurate to me but that's politics and that's irrelevant

i don't think role names hold that much weight in this setup. i don't really see the merit in claiming a role name at all to be honest

That's the point I was trying to make - Kat may indeed have the Trump role but we have no way of knowing whether or not that's actually a town role until Kat flips.

just woke up and did a read through of all the posts i missed.

a couple things people have brought up:

- townie paranoia? yep! seems like townie is an easy enough role to play so in a setting with zero backlog it’d be easy for maf to go by undetected. at the time of my reads it was still early on and tbh a lot of the discourse just had to do with dino so very little go off. and the way people were all quickly jumping to attack her off literally NothingTM rubbed me the wrong way. as the game has progressed a lot more town attitude has been on display so it’s way easier for me to be 99% certain when someone is town.

- bianca and volt seem off to me. im on my phone so when i hop on my laptop i’ll submit my MLA format receipts. i agree with whoever made the comment (epona iirc) about how volt was the only person on biancas reads without any real push for town or mafia. makes sense to want distance.

bianca‘s behavior in general is just kinda off because shes laid pretty low and gives me fly on the wall vibes but i also can relate to that style of play.

in regards to trundle, i know i cast my vote for him but i’m likely to change it, feels more town now but i still have some suspicions. at this moment im leaning towards voting for volt.
