[Suggestion] Profile Customization!

One thing I was extremely disappointed about when I came to TBT was the fact that you can't customize your profile to make it feel unique. I feel like whenever I go to a profile here, it seems so bland. I thought that having the ability to edit profiles would be fun, and would allow for a more unique experience on TBT. Along with having unique and fun profiles, users on TBT would also now be able to open up Custom Profile shops, where they can request color schemes/backgrounds, too!



When editing a profile, you can only edit what is visible in this picture: (Click Me!)

When editing your profile, there will be a button that says "Edit Profile" or "Customize Profile", and this will pop up:
(Click Here!)

Also, so editing profiles isn't problematic, profiles that contain profanity, inappropriate content, or content that may not be suitable for some users (such as flashing backgrounds), there would be a new report button to report the profile as a whole, so that moderators may reset the profile to default and warn the user.

i prefer it the way it is. but the layout needs to be less gross. the tabs are silly imo.

If there was a profile customization feature, it would feel like a chore for me to actually customize it. I don't usually go round looking at other people's profiles anyway, unless I have some kind of reason to.

Iirc, a verrrrrrry long time ago (at least a couple of years), we were talking about this for whatever reason and jer said he didn't plan on doing it because it would make tbt look messy, and I have to agree

Making your own HTML is a pain tbh even I'm good at making HTML and learned it since grade 4. I'm too lazy to make my own background in tumblr.

Yeah, but then you'd feel the need to make your profile look good because it'd look plain/boring compared to everyone else's. I've been on some forums/places with that feature, and it can become a contest or something where your profile is seen to 'reflect' your personality or what you're like. So if you had a plain profile compared to everyone else's, people might take you as a boring or just lazy person. Just my opinion.

If the feature was available, then I'd probably use it, however I don't think it's necessary.

Besides, I actually agree that (while it sounds like a nice feature) it would make things look messy. I wouldn't want to visit profiles full of bright clashing colours and gifs which make it lagg, depending on what kind of changes you can make to your profile.

TBT layout needs to be prettier, but, eh, wouldn't want profile customization.

It would get too messy. People would use large images and all that. I like how it is, it's tidy and not overpowering.

I think it'd be waaaay too messy. Some people might put some really flashy pink, that kills eyes, so, that is not a good thing @_@

I don't think this is a bad idea, but after reading all of the comments, if this happened I doubt many people would actually bother to use it.

Yes and no. Profile customization is cool and all and I'm actually for it, but I think it would needlessly make everything more messy.
