Alolan_Apples
“Assorted” Collector
For over four months now, I have enjoyed TBT as I'm staying. TBT is a wonderful place. However, I do have some suggestions for this site. No, I'm not a moderator, nor am I an administrator. In fact, I'm not even an older member yet, but I have some ideas to make it better.
More Collectibles:
We know that the apples are impending in stock, but there are other collectible ideas to introduce. One of them is what I have been rambling about recently. I'm talking...
The reason why I suggested this was because the chocolate cakes are losing value due to an increase in supply, and I like to see a rare collectible that is both better than the chocolate cake collectible and is all year round. So this may add to the cake collection as the third cake.
Other collectibles I like to see. For the TBT Fair, I liked how we had green and blue balloons introduced. I even have both balloons. I think they should start releasing the others. Along with the green and blue balloons, there should be the red, orange, yellow, cyan, indigo, and pink balloons. All eight colors should be unlimited in stock. The heart balloons are limited stock. The bunny balloons are even lower in stock. Balloons are way better than feathers. Another fair collectible I like to see are the glow wands. We may not need them, but they would be cool. The background is black, with the wand glowing at one color. The yellow one is still, and unlimited in stock. The green one is sparkling, and limited in stock (but are more available). The pink one is dimming in a cycle, and has a lower stock. And the blue one does turn on and off. They are limited to raffles.
Around the time of the TBT Fair is Christmas. We don't seem to have a Christmas event around the time. Remember in the Halloween time, they had candy collectibles in stock? They should have a Christmas shop too. Instead of tickets, the collectibles should be spent by bells. Maybe a candy cane, gingerbread man, star, and stocking collectibles would be the trick.
Valentine's Day is not one of my favorite holidays, but Valentines collectibles are great too. We can have a heart collectible, nine rose collectibles, and a teddy bear collectible. For the roses, the regular ones are cheap and unlimited in stock, the black, purple, pink, and orange ones are limited in stock, and the blue and golden roses are lower in stock.
Halloween needs more collectibles too. I felt that the candies lost their value. In early 2014, the blue candy was worth 4k TBT according to Lassy's guide. After the Halloween event, they don't worth even as much as the green candy once did. So more Halloween related collectibles should be introduced, like the Jack-o-Lantern and the rainbow candy like what some people suggested.
I don't know about the rest, but the whole collectible idea is up to the admins. They can accept my ideas. They can reject my ideas. In fact, they can even shut down the TBT Marketplace if anything goes wrong.
Other Shop Suggestions:
As what other users demanded, one of them is to eliminate the shopping cart feature for good. Not only some people are greedy and aren't willingly to sell any of their collectibles, despite having 5 or even 10 of the same kind, but when there is a lag, this slows down getting the same collectible. I was lucky enough to capture the chocolate cake in time, but I wasn't lucky with the blue or green candies. Without the shopping cart, the item goes right into your inventory, so only the first (denominator number) users can get it.
Another idea, as suggested by another user, is to limit how many limited time collectibles people can own. They can have all the chocolate cakes, apples, and yellow letters they want, but for stuff like the Yoshi's egg, blue candy, white feather, and red pinwheel (save rainbow feather, green pinwheel, and trophies since they are awarded by the staff), they should be having only five of each, just like the birthstones, Bell Tree Fair Patch, and the 10 collectible (except they have one of each). This way, it can prevent greed. If this suggestion takes effect, there should be a grandfather clause because it's only for further incidents.
The other shop related suggestion is that we should be allowed to organize the collectibles the way we want them, and it doesn't have to be organized by age. Just like the blog categories and sidebar display order, the active collectibles should be the same way.
Club LOL Forum:
When I was on Little Big Planet Central, there was a general forums section. The forum games subforum is similar to the Basement on this site. General Gaming forum was like the gaming discussions on this site. Artwork and Creativity forum was like the Museum on this site. And finally, the General Chat and General Media forums combined is similar to Brewster's Café on this forum. The thing here is that LBPC kept discussions on media like movies and TV shows in a separate forum from discussions on lifestyle, current events, and other things. TBT had all of that in one forum. Even though I like TBT's organization and features better, LBPC had better organization on the general stuff.
So in this suggestion, all the media related threads like the Disney threads, movie discussion threads, TV Show discussion threads, and music discussion threads should be put on a separate forum called Club LOL. All of our pizza and politics threads, as well as other threads with no specific topic that doesn't fit in the other categories, goes under Brewster's Café. At the same time, there should be a Disney sub-forum for Club LOL since Disney is very big on this site.
The grandfather clause applies to this as well, unless if the mods and admins want to move the previously created media threads to the Club LOL forum.
Other suggestions:
I don't have any other suggestions for this site. So if you have anymore suggestions like collectibles or other site features, feel free to comment. And if any of you mods or admins are reading this entry, I would like a comment on my suggestions and how they are good or bad.
