Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Tournament
The
TBTWC: Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Tournament has officially begun! As there are numerous participants and limited time to complete matches, we don't want to have anyone rushing about scheduling constantly to get multiple matches in on time. We have decided to switch the format to a
single-elimination tournament of
five rounds to make this a lot less stressful!
The rules remain the same as the OP: each set will be a best-of-three, one-on-one set of matches with the exception of semifinals, bronze match, and grand finals which will all be a
best of five.
Round Deadlines
Round 1 must be completed and reported within this thread by
11:59 p.m. EDT on
May 12th
Round 2 must be completed and reported within this thread by
11:59 p.m. EDT on
May 15th
Round 3 must be completed and reported within this thread by
11:59 p.m. EDT on
May 18th
Round 4 must be completed and reported within this thread by
11:59 p.m. EDT on
May 21st (Semifinals: best-of-five)
Round 5 must be completed and reported within this thread by
11:59 p.m. EDT on
May 23rd (Finals & Bronze Match: best-of-five)
Arranging Matches
Please do not arrange matches within this thread. It is
highly recommended to go into
your preferences and turn alerts on for private messages, visitor messages, and pings for the duration of this tournament so that you and your opponent are able to connect easily as not all players may use Discord or other external communication.
How to Submit Results
Please agree to have
one player from your set(s) post the number of battles won per player by the round deadlines. Once I have seen your post, I will accept it with the
green acceptance reaction () and update the bracket. Challengers will be pinged afterward as their matches become available to be played.
How to Claim Your Points
On the evening (EDT) of May 13, May 16, May 19, May 22, I will formally post the results of the previous round within this thread. You will need to link the post to your respective team's
Points Redemption Station so that your captain may access the results and award you your points.
For the grand finals match, I will attempt to have those results formally posted shortly after the match results are reported so that you may link the post in your
Points Redemption Station. Regardless of if this is formally posted on May 23 or 24, you will be eligible to receive your points and they will count towards your individual and overall team totals.
Please do not link your own results' posts to claim your points. These will not be accepted by your team captains.
