I'm down to one pet and he is my nearly a yearling leucistic ball python named Bowie, he's probably the sweetest and best noodle on the whole planet, he's super chill and sassy. He's been a dream pet, feeding perfectly, great temperament, shedding perfectly, I'm almost convinced he's an actual angel because he's just so sweet and great. I mean, he's even potty trained and only goes in one spot. It's pretty amazing if you ask me.
My chickens are my babies. We have 11 chickens, 3 of which are civilized enough to where they live in the house. Their names are Chick Norris, Pumpkin, and Peanut.
Their daily life consists of eating, being put outside for a few hours, playing in a sandbox, and being in bed by 7pm (sharp!). Chick was the original peep that was allowed inside. Pumpkin then followed as she was constantly attacked by the other chickens (they kept plucking out her feathers!). Lastly Peanut entered as she was just so small and cute and looked all sad outside.
Chick sitting on her special blanket. When she sits down she uses her beak to pull it all around her. She also couldn't seem to keep her eye open.
Chick is the favorite. She's cute, fluffy, and cuddly. She's also very smart but afraid of most things. She's the chicken "in charge" and will bully the other two to get her way. This includes things like food, being in the sandbox, and claiming her blanket. She loves to sit in your lap or next to your head. She will sit on your leg and want you to pet her/cuddle with her. At night she sleeps on the back of a chair (like a leather chair type thing) and wants you to sit with her. Don't try to pet her at night though- she'll peck at you and make angry noises. Her peeps sound like "perp perp!" and if you talk to her, she'll often respond with noises that could equate to an English response. For example, if you ask "what are you doing" she'll respond with "perp perp!" which sounds like "nothing!". She's basically a cat.
Pumpkin is a very strange chicken. She whines everywhere she goes and will follow you anywhere, constantly on the hunt for food. She wants to be on you, like on your leg or your back, but does not want to be touched/petted. You can pick her up though, she enjoys that. She will attack your leg/face sometimes for seemingly no reason. When the other peeps are lying down, she might suddenly lay down on the floor and instantly fall asleep. The way she does things, like how she sits or sleeps, is very cute. She's just so cute!! She is nicknamed "heathen" because she is so uncouth and just makes a mess wherever she goes.
Peanut is a little baby. She's very small and very light. She's a silent peep and rarely makes any noise unless you pick her up (she does little squeaks) or she wants something. She tends to stay out of the way and does her own little thing. If you sit down, chances are she will try to get on your shoulder as she loves sitting on shoulders and cuddling next to your face. Chick doesn't really like her because she is her rival for attention. If you pet Peanut while Chick is nearby, Chick will peck your hand until you stop. If she sees Peanut on your lap, she will peck her off and claim the lap for herself. Oftentimes you will pick Peanut up and she will make no sound or movement- she'll just dangle there and go wherever you take her without any protest. You can even tuck her under your shoulder or hold her backwards, she doesn't mind. Her name is Peanut because she's such a lil peanut!
Oh wow this turned into a wall lol. But I love my chickens!
