Maple (メープル, Maple) is a normal cub villager in the Animal Crossing series. She has appeared in every game in the series so far. Maple's name derives from the type of tree called a Maple Tree. Her color is brown, which refers to that of a maple leaf. It could also be her name because she is "sweet like syrup"; as she has the normal personality. She is the only character to mention another character in their picture quote, in this case, a mop called Moppina. Her initial catchphrase is a reference to what bears are stereotypically known to eat. It could also be a reference to her personality type, due to the fact honey is sweet.

She appears on the album art cover of Mr. K.K. and K.K. Marathon.

Appearance

Maple is a brown cub with a beige-tipped snout and paws. She has pale red blush, and is the color of maple syrup. She has a black nose and small, black, shiny eyes. In the N64 version, she has a red patch on the back of her head. Maple's initial clothing is the Citrus Gingham, except in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, where she wears the Dapper Shirt. When it rains, she uses a petal parasol. In the N64 version, she looks a little bit like Ellie the elephant.

On April Fool's Day in New Leaf, Maple states that she would like to be an architect as one of the hints, this is the correct answer.

Maple is a kind, caring and calm character like all normal villagers. Like all normal villagers, she will easily become upset or offended by other villagers (Normal villagers take offense easily), particularly snooty villagers who mislead her in conversation and cranky villagers who have a rude, scheming nature. She enjoys the usual hobbies, such as; fishing and bug catching, usually to keep her active. As with all other villagers, she will enjoy the player's company at her house where she may tell the player to "ignore the mess" - a concern she shares with other normal villagers. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, she will talk about an unseen character called Moppina, a mop referred to as her friend which reflects on the normal personality type who has hygiene and cleanliness concerns. She will get along well with other normal villagers, jock, lazy, and peppy villagers, appearing mother-like in conversation.

She will ask the player for furniture from the Lovely Series and has a preference for iconic clothing.

House

In Animal Crossing, Maple has some plants, a great collection of bears, and some Lullaboids. On her stereo, she plays K.K. Lullaby. In Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: Wild World, she listens to I Love You in her house, and has the a few items of the Ranch Series, and a Sewing Machine as well. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, Maple sometimes talks about "not being good at interior decorating", and preferring clothing instead. In Animal Forest she has the same house in Animal Crossing, with different music being I Love You.

She will ask the player for furniture from the Lovely Series and has a preference for iconic clothing.

CHERRY IN BOXES

Cherry_dog.png

Cherry (ハンナ, Hanna?) is an uchi dog villager in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Her name may come from her skin color, which is a darker pink tone, resemblant of a cherry.

Appearance

Cherry is a red dog with teal eyes, gray spots like goggles, and an off-center mouth (to her left). She has black ears with two small white spots/stripes. Cherry's legs are black and her paws are gray. She initially wears the Spider Web shirt.

Personality

Cherry is an uchi ("big sister") villager. She will have a tendency to be blunt with the player, teaching them how to "always win at fights" and ways to relax. She will also act like a caring big sister to the player once they become close friends. Cherry may get along with jock villagers who share her love of sports, and lazy villagers for how laid-back they are. However, she may conflict with snooty and cranky villagers, who spread rumors about others.

House

Cherry's house matches her initial physical appearance, containing items of furniture colored red, black and white. Her carpet is similar to a modern tile. She will have both the red sofa and armchair from the Red Furniture Set, as well as some furniture from the Sleek Series. When she gains a stereo, she will have it play K.K. Fusion.

Trivia

Cherry appears on the cover of K.K. Fusion.
With her spiderweb shirt and general colors, she gives off a "goth" feeling. The markings on her ears seem to give the impression of earrings.
