BRUCE IN BOXES

latest

Bruce (ブルース, Burūsu?) is a cranky deer villager who made his debut in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Bruce also appears in the Japanese-only manga adaptation, Tobidase Dōbutsu no Mori Minna Deseseragi Mura Life.

Bruce is a slate blue deer with a pale stripe pattern on his forehead. The insides of his ears are orange, and he has pointy yellow horns which curve backwards. He more resembles a gazelle than a deer.

Personality

Bruce is a cranky villager. He will at first seem rude when talking to the player, but will improve over time as he gets to know them. He may get on well with other cranky villagers as well as snooty villagers, who are seen as the female equivalent to the cranky personality. He will have a dry, harsh sense of humor, which may offend other villagers, particularly lazy and peppy villagers.

House

His house consists of lots of urban furniture, (such as the telephone box and the iron frame) similar to what you may find in an alley. On his Red Boombox, Bruce has K.K. Blues playing.

DRAKE IN BOXES
latest

Drake (フォアグラ,, Foie Gras?) is a lazy duck villager from the Animal Crossing series. The name "Drake" comes from the word given to male ducks. Female ducks are called "hens". His Japanese name comes from the food foie gras, made with duck liver. His initial phrase, "quacko", is play on the word "quack", the sound ducks make. He shares this catchphrase with Bill, another male duck. He shares his picture quote with Elmer, another villager.

Appearance

Drake is a male Mallard duck with a turquoise head and a yellow beak. Drake's arms are brown and he initially wears a Folk Shirt. His eyes have a small black pupil in them, and the part of his belly is also brown. The area around his eyes are a darker shade of green, giving him a very irritated or tired appearance, as one would look in cartoons where the lack of sleep would cause one to become essentially wide awake as the time they spend awake goes on.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.

As a lazy villager, he will appear friendly and hospitable towards the player, as well as having an interest in food. He likes bananas, food games, comic books, camping, and Chillin' magazine. He is very kind but always loves to talk about himself. As "fashion lad," he may ask for new clothing to fulfill his role.

House

Drake's house is camp-themed, using the shanty mat and cabin wallpaper. He has a retro stereo in his house which plays K.K. Blues. He also has a sleeping bag and a microwave in the games before Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

JULIAN IN BOXES

latest

Julian (ジュリー,, Julie?) is a smug horse in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, who resembles a unicorn, due to the horn on his head. It is possible his name comes from "Julius", of Julius Caesar, who claimed to be related to the Roman goddess Venus, reflecting Julian's astronomy theme. The feminine form of his name in the Japanese version was likely given to emphasize Julian's feminine appearance.

Appearance

Julian is a blue and white horse with a slightly darker blue mane and tail, and a white horn, which resembles a unicorn. He has black hooves, wears purple eyeshadow and has long, black eyelashes. His eyes are normally closed, but when he opens them they appear white without a pupil. He may easily be mistaken for a female due to his appearance.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the smug personality. For more information, click here.
Julian has a smug personality. This means he will appear kind and gentlemanly when in conversation with the player. On numerous occasions, he will flirt with the player and admire them. Julian will occasionally talk about being into niche hobbies, like being a train fanatic or collecting plastic bottle caps. He will be very interested in fashion and will mention it often in conversations and letters. He is also very fond of bluegrass music, a trait which is shared by Shigeru Miyamoto.

House

Julian owns a lot of pieces from the Regal Series, such as the Regal Bed, Regal Sofa, Regal Bookcase, Regal Vanity and more. He also has other furniture such as a king and a harp. He also has a star globe. His flooring is the Blue Floor, and his wall is the Lunar Horizon. He has a Retro Stereo that plays Stale Cupcakes.
