Mafia TBT Mafia V: There and Back Again [Game Over/Town Win]

I am suspicious of beary509. Trundle was the first person to accuse her and then someone apparently targeted him.

Also, she seemed to follow Karla's lead to lynch a townie. Karla first suggested that voting for Dolby would be a good idea and then she followed. This alone doesn't say much because a lot of people voted for him anyway.

But then she started getting interestingly aggressive in favor of voting for him. Here, here, here, and here.

But this next post is, in my opinion, the biggest case for this theory. As soon as Dolby is revealed to be a townie, she over exaggerates her reaction to it. The drastic change from aggressiveness to this post seems very fake to me.

After night ended, I got a similar vibe from this post, which others pointed out as well.

I am tearing my hair out in frustration.

IRC mafia and TBT mafia are not exactly the same. How I act there is a lot different than how I act here. In IRC, you have to be quick. You have to make quick decisions that may be different than how you may act in the forum mafia.

My gameplay is usually altered by how I feel. When I was town, I was very open and active. When I was mafia, I hardly ever posted.

I would like to bring back the topic of the supposed River fake claim of Serial Killer. Let me lay out this first: I believe that River is lying about it being a fake claim test, and that she actually did legitimately claim Serial Killer to Kayla, among possibly other players such as Tom. I believe that she is actually the Serial Killer and we should lynch her today, unless we can find scum first today.

Why?

River claims that her claim to Kayla was fake and supposed to test Kayla's ability to be quiet with sensitive information that should not shared with everyone. To be honest, this wouldn't be a terrible idea... except the choice of role to claim as!!! As previously discussed, the Serial Killer's interests directly conflict ours. Therefore the Serial Killer should be killed eventually if possible. This cannot happen if the Serial Killer is not known. (well it can, but you know what I mean, obviously it is easier we know!) In my opinion, any player should out a Serial Killer. In fact, I would be more suspicious of Kayla if she did not out River's claim.

Point is: The Serial Killer is a terrible role to fake claim as for this supposed test. If River truly intended this as a fake claim, she would have picked a different role to use. The fake claim setup is a clever lie to cover her ass after Kayla outed her as she should have. (which seems to have worked to some degree as the discussion has completely turned away from her)

I'm voting to lynch River today. If some other information comes to light on a potential Mafia instead, I'll consider changing to that. But otherwise, I'd like to rid us of the Gollum (Serial Killer) distraction River.

These are all valid points, I must say. We really don't have much to go by so this case is probably the best lynch situation for Day 2, unless someone brings out PMs as evidence obviously. I just have one question to ask River; why did you supposedly "fake claim" as Serial Killer, especially to someone like Kayla, who you know would spread out the news to at least one other person who she is in contact with?

I do agree with this, and I think River could be the serial killer too. Although, there will definitely be a lot more going on in the town today with beary509, and Karla's old posts. It's quite annoying (but good, ofc) that Karla got lynched because Karla is smart and may have thrown us off with his posts greatly. I noticed in his posts he heavily attacked iLoveYou, but defended Prin once or twice. From this, and iLoveYou's protection claim, I think it's quite clear that she is town. Now, of course, that doesn't confirm her in any way, but I doubt we need to make any posts about her anymore unless something comes up. (this is a morning post btw hopefully it makes sense)

Another problem to consider is that KarlaKGB is a smart player. He knew he was going to die Night One for sure (especially if the Mafia did not have a Shaman / Mafia Doctor). He will always be a huge target for Night One (whether Mafia or Town). It's very possible that he would have left clues like defending certain people to make them look bad after he died & attacking others to put them in the clear after he died. Vice versa.

Before anyone jumps at me with: "well what if he attacked you to get you cleared" No. I was inspected Night One & since the Godfather is now dead, obviously my inspection is 100% legit when it came back Town. I'm actually surprised I didn't get framed.

If I didn't get framed & KarlaKGB didn't get protected by a Mafia Doctor, then it's more than likely that the Mafia does have a Suicide Bomber on their side. I mean obviously they can still have a Framer who actually chose not to frame me.

I came out to you as my role as Townie first, then wanted to see if you would blabber about the SK role.
If I was SK it would serve no purpose to me to claim to anybody since the SK is working by their-selves

I really just sign up for mafia games because I want to be mafia, and ever since the first game, I've yet to be mafia at all, which is one of the only ways I know how to play this game.

I had noticed this last night when I seen who was killed last night. I didn't bring it up because I was getting ready for bed, so I didn't have the brain capacity to make a post.

To add to that:

@lauren, look at how I've played the game since I was mafia in the first game.

I only play to see if I could get a mafia role.

River has been putting some emphasize on the fact that she wants to be mafia. Replay of iLoveYou pushing her pro-town ness from game 2? Also, like you showed, Lauren was the first person to point this out. And then she died? Was it coincidence, or not? I don't know, but I see red flags rising around River.

As for Beary, while I did have suspicions have her, I have put them to rest (for the most part.)

This is very true. Looking through the games she's been in, her play style right now fits much more with when she was town (posting very often) compared to how she played in mafia 4 (her posts were few and far between). I honestly feel that she is just a disgruntled townie.
