We'd have other COM players most of the time though.
When we got rid of them, we would do our taunt and then just charge at each other.
It was so wild and I'm seriously down for a 99-stock sometime haha.

I did this with my bro in Brawl a few times, but we did special brawl to set the initial damage really high. It was a really fun way of practicing rolling/shielding, lol
