TBT Questions

So I've recently joined and noticed this.
"Date: Today 01:25 AM
Action: Welcome
Amount: Earned 500.0 Bells"
500 TBT for I dont know what. It says "Welcome" but it is randomly given to me and wont let me click it to see how I got it. I'm sure everyone knows what this means already, but I'm new to the site and would like to know what is the cause of this TBT to be given. Thanks
Also Side question. How do I get interest from ABD? I currently have 800TBT in there and do not know how to get interest from it or how much it tends to give.
Btw I forgot to add that Ive gotten this before, but with 200 and a few days ago. So Im seeing it's reoccurring. I'm loving it, but just curious about it haha

Not exactly sure what's been changed. I think you gradually get welcome bonuses up until....60 posts? I don't know for sure, they changed it after I joined so it's not one lump sum of 950.

You cant actually get interest anymore because apparently some people were taking advantage of it or something :/ sucks how some people ruin thongs for others. BTW save it wisely, all these new members I see spend all of it in a week -_-ll

Yeah I learned TBT is pretty much the most valuable thing on this whole site all in 1 day when I started. I've spent it only on 2 dreamies and the other 800 is being saved up.
Do you guys have any particular ways of earning TBT? I just sell my IGB for TBT right now and it helps P:

I do trades to earn TBT. I'm also still fairly new to the site but have been trading to get the sets/items/villagers I wanted. You can offer IGB or other items.

I check the Re-tail thread and TBT marketplace regularly for trades I may be interested in. Good way to get started!

Really? New people are lucky then...I only got 100 I think back in late 2013. Inflation?? lol (I could be wrong about the 100 part, but I know it wasn't no 950000000 either.)

Same, I only got 700 I think. Either 700 or 750.
