I've noticed activity has slowed down a lot over the holidays. I know I've been posting far less myself because I had been busy and now sick so it's killed my motivation to post as much, and I haven't even touched ACNL since Christmas Eve.

I guess it seems odd, because you'd expect site traffic to spike with people being off school or work, but this is also the season where people spend a lot of time studying, and TBT is surprisingly a huge distraction so I'm guessing some people have cut themselves off from it entirely to study without interruption lmao. I've had to do that too.

I think the activity will come up again, it's still technically Christmas and some people might still be celebrating, or maybe home visiting family. I think it should probably normalise within a week, maybe more depending on how long the holiday extends for some.

It is a bit quieter than usual... I've also found myself posting less than usual as well. I suppose it's due to it being Christmas and New Years and everyone is spending time with their family and friends.

it feels quiet since years ago i was on it and it was so full of people and a half year ago there was also a decent amount of people but now it feels quiet tho. I guess it must be holidays or less people starting to play acnl??

Well, I don't think as many people would be online on New Year's Day (When this thread was posted) . They'd probably be out or spending time with their friends/family and not checking TBT much.
