Why are TBT bells so precious? Literally I went on retail and made a thread saying '100 free tbt' or something and in the first 20 seconds I got 7 people begging me. Is it that hard to make TBT? I've got 37 tbt only and it's only been one day.

Plus, people pay millions of IGB for just 100 TBT.

Well you can buy art and collectibles with tbt and they cost a lot more than in game items.

i have no idea honestly lmaooo i never use my tbt :<
but im not complaining, it's rly nice to be able to buy a sht ton of stuff w tbt

it is quicker to earn and it is most quicker and easier to trade with than in game bells!

Normally you would have to spend ages dropping bells and then counting them
to make sure you had all the money

but with tbt all you need to do is a few clicks and it takes a couple of seconds
and your done!

I never understood TBT. When I came back to this site about 2 years later, I just saw everyone selling this for tbt and I was like "oh man this is awesome." Since I had like 800 tbt, I was able to get my dream villagers faster, but now I understand because there's amazing artists who sell art for tbt. Plus, it is a lot easier to use and trade than dropping igb.

The TBT system is broken. First of all, it is silly that you can earn TBT from posting. Posting does not really provide anything of value to another person, but you get TBT for it anyway. Second, the value of in-game items has plummeted. A lot of people on TBT Marketplace use powersaves to run their shops, so now no item is worth more than 5-10 TBT (there are people who sell entire sets for about 15-20 TBT). The price for 100 TBT has skyrocketed all the way to 20 mil IGB. So basically, the price of collectibles and art has inflated because of the increase in supply of TBT from all the new users and people posting while the value of in-game items has decreased. So if you want a lot of TBT, you have to sell art or collectibles or post a ton like I do (but I don't really post for TBT).

I think it's great to earn from posting. I wouldn't make any TBT otherwise

Obvious TBT farming attempt.

You don't earn any TBT from double posts if I'm remembering correctly. And no need to be rude. :)

Personally, I like that we can earn TBT by being active on the forums. It's a faster way of making money and it can still be used towards things like art and collectibles in addition to in game items. I'm personally not into getting collectibles and art and all of that on this site so I use all my bells towards getting in game items, and if it can make someone else happy, then hey, I don't see any harm in it.

While the inflation certainly is a problem, I feel like that's just how online economies like this are. I've seen it in other forms on different sites. And it takes some adjusting but you know what? It's fine. And if people, like myself, want to use TBT to their advantage in game and want to play that way, then there's no problem with that. If people don't like it then they don't have to participate in using the TBT system and just trade with IGB, simple as that.

Well for some people the fun of it is collecting shiny and cute collectibles. Once you've done so much in AC you start to get a little bored and start hanging around other parts of the forum. Then when that gets a little boring you start hunting cute collectibles for the fun and thrill of it. When you get caught up in the chaos that is a restock you can sometimes find yourself getting excited. I know I do. That's how bland my life is :)

See and this is what I love about the TBT currency system! You use them for a completely different reason than I do but we both find it useful. I love how versatile it is.

TBT is worth so much thanks to people who use powersaves and sell things for less than they're worth: forced deflation. It results in super quick and massive profits for one or two people, and afterwards, no one can ever profit off it much more. It is useful, when used correctly; misuse as on here basically trashes the economy in a way.

Posting on TBT and stalking for restocks/events earn more than any in-game things will, whether it may be farming beetles on the island for IGB, to selling Pokemon, etc. It's kinda sad....

because you can buy those pixelated images called collectables that everyone goes bananas for

This is all very true imo. I normally earn my btb just by posting. I once had about 600 saved up just from posting, but even I break that kind of norm when something like a restock happens. I've never sold pokemon or artwork before now, but I decided to because there is no way I'd be able to save up enough bells just by posting, not in time for the restock at least. I prefer to purchase my items at the original store price. This goes for collectibles, and real life items. So, I had to do something drastic xD I'll probably stop selling my extra pokemon when the restock passes, but I may turn my art selling thread into an actual shop. Gives me something to do this summer, and I actually love to draw. I just don't have ideas all the time, so commissions are great :)
