TBT worth so much?

TBT is worth so much thanks to people who use powersaves and sell things for less than they're worth: forced deflation. It results in super quick and massive profits for one or two people, and afterwards, no one can ever profit off it much more. It is useful, when used correctly; misuse as on here basically trashes the economy in a way.

Posting on TBT and stalking for restocks/events earn more than any in-game things will, whether it may be farming beetles on the island for IGB, to selling Pokemon, etc. It's kinda sad....

Some of the shops here will sell any item for 1-5 TBT and entire unorderable sets for 15 TBT. I wonder if those people would just be able to earn TBT faster by just posting instead of dealing with shops and processing and delivering orders. For people like me who only spend TBT on in-game items, it's a buyer's market, but if you are looking for art or collectibles, then it's tough sledding other than to post, post, post. Anyway, TBT is just a gimmick to create a fake economy to draw site traffic. Most of the people with a lot of TBT are either heavy posters or collectible traders, neither of which really help anyone, and people who want to buy and sell in-game items and services get screwed. But I guess it's okay if it helps the bills get paid.

In-game item sales are terrible, I can't make any money off of them. However, ever since HMCaprica closed down there hasn't been a lot of item sales, so I'm thinking about starting up a business again. My prices are going to be higher than the older shops, but heck, there was no way to make a profit with those things except for hacking.

I like bells because I use them to buy collectibles that puts me on the top of the tbt hierarchy.

The TBT system is broken. First of all, it is silly that you can earn TBT from posting. Posting does not really provide anything of value to another person, but you get TBT for it anyway. Second, the value of in-game items has plummeted. A lot of people on TBT Marketplace use powersaves to run their shops, so now no item is worth more than 5-10 TBT (there are people who sell entire sets for about 15-20 TBT). The price for 100 TBT has skyrocketed all the way to 20 mil IGB. So basically, the price of collectibles and art has inflated because of the increase in supply of TBT from all the new users and people posting while the value of in-game items has decreased. So if you want a lot of TBT, you have to sell art or collectibles or post a ton like I do (but I don't really post for TBT).

quite frankly, posting should be worth more tbt
this is a forum, you should be rewarded for contributing to it. imo the rate should be at least doubled to promote discussion and to also balance out inflation.

Great idea, old chap! I love how the more you type, the more Bells you earn. It's super-duper!

(not even sure what point I'm trying to make here)

Inb4 Red Cat gets accused of PowerSaving his 20mil as a somewhat painful way to earn bells.

I'm honestly fine with paying a higher price if I can buy in bulk (hint, hint ^_~); which is also why I prefer buying ACNL in-game stuff with TBT bells; it's just faster and easier. ^_^

TBT is just harder to earn, and I think for a lot of people it's the preferred currency because it's easier to transfer than, let's say, dropping tons of bags of bells in someone's town.

When I first joined this site and learned about TBT I was like "What is this? It's so stupid and pointless!" But now look at me, I'm trying to earn as much as I can. It's hard to earn though unless you're an amazing artist. I remember I tried drawing for people for like I think it was 10 or 15tbt. SO MANY PEOPLE would pm and post in the thread for me to stop and shut down my thread because my art wasn't worth anything. I think the reason it's so vauled is because it gets spent faster than it's earned. :/ I accidently clicked on something and it showed me the people with the higest tbt. It mad me sad/mad that SO MANY rich users are inactive

Wow rip if they didn't like your art they should just close that tab and leave your thread the hell alone. Some people are so nasty.
