Tbt?

I don't even know if this is the right place to post, sorry if it isn't! I joined the forum about a month ago and I see people selling/buying things using tbt. I know it's kinda like a currency on here but how does it work? How do you get them and what's the point of having them, is it just so you can buy other stuff from people on here? I'm kinda confused. If someone could fully explain then that would be helpful!

You get TBT by posting in the forums, if you post longer like you did you earn more TBT. if you post less, you earn less TBT, you edit your forum to make it smaller it'll subtract your currency. TBT gives you a lot of things like ACNL items, art or collectibles.

in my understanding, it means "the bell tree" which refers to bells. btb is just a mouth full in my opinion, but you can use btb if you enjoy and people would still understand. it's more of personal preference.

Tbt bells have pretty much overtaken this site now, very rarely do I see many people asking for igb for sales or villagers. The majority of villagers on the trading plaza are put up for sale with a price in tbt.
You can also convert your tbt into igb, the current rate is 20mil igb for 100tbt. It's a fast way of building up your in game currency.

You can do it in the market place or in the retail section of the forums. Usually the trader will ask for the tbt, then will drop off the igb in your town or use the retail method.

There isn't one specific shop but you can see multiple threads of people doing this trade method.

Yes sorry, there isn't an option for it on this site, you have to find somebody willing to sell you some igb in exchange for your tbt. It's easy enough though, i offer tbt/igb conversions myself and I know lots of other people do as well. Should have explained that part better

Btb or tbt is the currency here (as you know) and it works by people using that instead of in game bells to trade. To do so where it says bells on the left hand side of your post you press the word bells where it is highlited in Brown lettering and it says either transfer or redeem. To send someone the bells press on the box and type the chosen amount in there. It is a lot easier than trading in game bells with all those bags whereas with btb or tbt you simply trade someone them, Get evidence of sending them and well chill on your 3ds. It is so much easier and is more easier to get than in game bells and helps you progress through your town.
