Founded on March 20th, 2020 by Nessie,the current Island Representative, as well as Hamlet and Rocket who have both since moved on to new adventures. Located in the EST time zone. Recently there have been reports of strange areas popping up in town and a weird white cat granting wishes.... Teacup is a Madoka Magica themed Island that is currently a huge WIP!

Nessie is one of the three founders of Teacup Island. One day while sitting at home, she was greeted by a mysterious white cat with bright red eyes. This cat offered to grant any wish she had, with the only catch she became a magical girl. Of course, Nessie fully accepted these terms and wished to live somewhere she felt as though she was needed and belonged. The next morning she woke up to an exclusive offer from Tom Nook, inviting her to take part in a "Deserted Island Getaway" where she would be able to build her own town.
Since then Nessie has taken great pride in caring for all of the villagers and residents on the island; as well as protecting them from witches. She greatly enjoys gardening, and is often referred to as "Sunflower" by the villagers.
Nagisa The owner of a cheesecake cafe, Nagisa is one of the younger residents on the island. However, it has been said if you wander into the cafe beyond the main dining area you will find yourself in a strange new realm inhabited by a hungry monster. Those who wander too far are said to have been devoured by this monster. It is a question as to whether this girl is still human or if she has become a witch and is simply disguising herself to lure in victims. Alina Renowned artist Alina Gray moved to Teacup in order to distance herself from a life she no longer remembered. After coming to the island she decided to work on her art again and display it for the residents of Teacup to enjoy. However, upon reuniting with Kyubey she was reminded of her love for the art that is witches and began to imprison and grow them once more. The basement of her gallery is a recreation of her "final" artwork.
I am SO HAPPY to finally have an area to post all of my town updates and what not!!!!
Not much to report on today since I am doing a ton of homework; but I guess I should outline my current progress in my town since it has been a while since the game came out! c:
My towns name is Teacup! Originally I was going to go for a cute madoka magica themed island-- hence the name "teacup" in reference to the mugs from MagiaRecord-- but decided not to. Thought about switching the island name back to Gardenia (my NL town) but Teacup just sounded too cute to abandon. I may still add in a witch's labyrinth home at some point in the future though once we unlock more furniture.
I had NO idea what I wanted to do with my town layout so... I completely demolished everything in my town from the trees to the rivers and designed it from scratch! I think it was like.... 1am when I decided to make the Teacup design and it took DAYS to make (with plenty of breaks!) because I wanted to get it *just* right and needed the water to look as natural as it could be.
Didn't know what to do with the area besides have my museum on it so it was a playground for a while and then I got the moon DIY..... I have had the goal of covering it with as many moons as possible since. I think I am up to 10! Just waiting for my friends or I to have another meteor shower!!!
I have TTed a lot, but it's mostly just because I am impatient in moving houses and getting my home upgrades.
With all of this being said feel free to post in here with any comments, general convo, or suggestions!!! A lot of my town is still undeveloped as I have no idea what to do with it yet. Hopefully I will have time to journal every day, but I am graduating in 2 weeks and have to take my nursing exam soon so I might not!

Your town looks amazing, I love your concept with the map. My favorite part is all the moons through the stone arch, so creative! So awesome! Congrats on graduating in these crazy times, good luck on your nursing exam!

&& I honestly love my moons so much ;; I need like... 10 more I think? To have one on each circle. Thinking of making it into a space-exhibit sort of area since it is in front of my museum but we will see. If only I could customize it into the different planets! Would love to re-create the solar system.
Finally had time to sit down and really play animal crossing today!!! I worked two 13 hour days Saturday and sunday so I had NO energy to play at all.
My sister got me to hop on last night right before bed however to get the cloud flooring from saharah!! I love it so much
May need to make this room something other than a bathroom hmm... I love the wallpaper/flooring combo too much!
I also added in a new player character today!
Her name is nagisa and she is going to be based on the character nagisa momoe from madoka magica!
Decided on a whim to try out my labyrinth idea I had prior to the game release.
If she works out I plan on adding 4 more girls that will be madoka references!
So, out of boredom with my increasing list of work needed to be done before taking my NCLEX exam I decided to return to my previous "Madoka Magica" theme for Teacup.
I have already added in Nagisa Momoe and Alina Gray from the Madoka series to my island so far and plan on adding in Yachiyo, Madoka, and Homura at some point as well!!!
Nagisa owns a cheesecake cafe near the museum (surrounded by moons.... get it? they're made of cheese! ) which doubles as a witches labyrinth and Alina owns an art gallery that showcases her favorite art (witches) and even her terrible "final" art work which can be found in the basement of her home.
Sadly though I can't work on Nagisa's house at all yet since.... She's a dessert witch and we have no food themed furniture yet! Nintendo!!! where is my sweets set?!
But hopefully I will have some pictures for everyone of Alina's house at some point this week!!! I am very excited, this will be a big project.
The hardest part will be replicating the complicated designs in the labyrinths, but I am sure I will figure something out. Learning how to make custom designs might take me a while though.
Didn't play much today because I had a rough morning at the chiropractors and I have a lot of homework to get done!
However I made some decent progress on Alina's main room. I have about 5 art pieces on the wall from Redd; now I just need to sit down and.... Make art of the witches familiars to go by each door. indicating the different labyrinths. bleh. I'm not much of an artist lol
I also ended up decorating Redd's secret beach a bit more!
I saw the "come back with a warrant" door mat on twitter I think and.... had to make it happen.
The statue is a fake too so when you click on it it'll float!
Going to add some more art and what not to this and then rope most of it off.
Designing is hard
I FINALLY started doing custom designs for this town and all I have to say is... Gekidan Inu Curry I love your art so much but WOW is it hard to replicate in animal crossing.
I made six different witches minions/familiars to put into each witch labyrinth I'm putting in my island
Overall I'm very happy with how they came out! I'm not fully convinced if I should make any of the witches aside from charlotte to keep in the rooms but. I did try two of them; gertrud is probably my favorite one out of the two. The bunnyear one is... hard to make with how detailed the eyes are so she will likely be put in a frame or. Something.
I ALSO did a wallpaper/floor design for Charlotte's labyrinth based on the anime since... it was the easiest one to do. Not confident about the wall, but maybe Nintendo will gift me with a nice chocolate drip wall.
I also made a little test outdoors labyrinth but it will likely move to a different area when I decide to stop being lazy lol (sorry it's a little dark I didnt want to TT to the daytime and its moving anyway haha.) If you look at some of the shirts the minions are on them! Wanted to at least try and have them sitting on the lines like they do in the anime.

I always wanted to do a madoka themed island but couldn't figure out how in NL, now in NH we have the transparent designs that can even be used as tiles indoors so it actually works REALLY well.
Just need to... figure out... the witches lol
Ahhh I haven't played much in the last few days but wanted to do an update post since I worked on Alina's house some more!
(TW: suicide mentions related to Alina's story/basement!)
Upon entering the house you are greeted by a normal art gallery with some interesting guides!
The three rooms on the main floor have been changed into labyrinths (I will include the photos from the game/anime to show what they are based on!!!) however none of them are finished... at all. I am honestly very upset that we can't use fences in the homes since one of them (rooftop witch) would of been a LOT better with the bright blue iron fencing :C Going to make the walls look more glitch-y after the anime version though. I think I was drunk making this one LMAO.
I am planning on adding a lot of roses to the rose garden labyrinth as well as make the rest of Gertrud's body at some point? Maybe?
The bunny eared labyrinth.... that's.... going somewhere idk. I honestly am not sure what to do with the walls or witch :T. Maybe i'll figure something out in a month or so. Determined to keep it in the house though since the minion design took forever to figure out. Candy I WILL make you. somehow.
Need nintendo to come out with more furniture too so I can start filling these up more. Hate how empty they are I promise they wont just be custom designs on the floor lmaooo
The basement is a recreation of Alina's "final" artwork from the game. I am still trying to work on how I want it to look since... sprite art is not a thing in this game sadly :C it's all so smoothed out and driving me nuts when things look so nice pixel-y then... not... once you put it down. I also somehow never cataloged the red camera? I swear it was in my nooks 24/7 until I needed it rip.
The final artwork was basically her photographing the moment in which she kills herself after jumping from a building. Since she made her wish right before she jumped, she ended up living. The memoria you receive for finishing her story is based on this moment and that's what I made her basement into.
Every basement for my girls will be a sort of look as to why they became a witch or something significant. (I am excited to start on Nagisa's and Homura's will be a MESS I can't wait.)
The upstairs I am making into a bedroom/destroyed studio sort of thing. There is fire. Not really confident on how I am executing it so no pictures of that one yet!!!.
Thinking of making Madoka and Homura's homes but I may wait until I get Alina's done some more or maybe I'll make Yachiyo's first! We will see how I feel next week
Also, I updated the main posts with the runes from the anime! What do you think? Is it too much?
