The Beatles

I like them, although I'm not a die-hard fan of theirs or anything. My favourite songs by them are "Norwegian Wood", "The Long and Winding Road", and "Dear Prudence".

The only two songs I've really enjoyed from them so far are All My Loving and Come Together, and that's only because my favorite band covered them.

My friend really likes them, but before I met them, I thought they were an emo band from the 70s, BOY WAS I WRONG! (About the 70s part, they're pretty much an emo band.)

I'm scared of beetles....

XD This made my day.

Overrated as hell and immensely boring IMO.

I guess I can see why you say that, but that can apply to any well-known band really. For example, many of you are well aware that I'm a big fan of Nirvana, who many people consider overrated, as well as I've met some that also think ABBA is overrated. (Yes, I like ABBA too)

Wow, not much love for The Beatles! That's so sad! :( They are my absolute fave band. They have been since I was about 15. I have pretty much all of their albums on either CD or vinyl, as well as a few of their movies. I also collect Beatles/John Lennon memorabilia. My fave song is 'Across the Universe.'

I've noticed a growing backlash against The Beatles in recent years -- at least amongst the under 30 set on social media. I still like them, but I kind of understand it. I think people just get annoyed by their image as THE BEST BAND EVAR!!11!

(I mean, c'mon. That's clearly Pink Floyd. ;) I kid, I kid)

"Across the Universe" is a gorgeous song though. I almost listed it as one of my favourites by them too.

It's really strange. I'm 28 now, but when I was in high school, a lot of people I know really liked them, or at least acknowledged that they were an amazing band. But maybe, like you said, now that people are a bit older and have developed their musical tastes a bit more, they are just sick of always hearing about them and maybe annoyed by the fact that more recent bands don't get the same amount of praise. I think the thing about The Beatles is, it's not about how good they were as a band, because I'll admit, some of the songs from their earlier albums were a bit insipid. I think it's more about how they changed the music industry. They were so experimental and influential, and they really paved the way for future bands.

Haha, sorry for the long response. Not all of it's aimed at you specifically. Some of this I just wrote for people who dislike The Beatles to read.

they're not the greatest band of all time , but i do like them . some of my favorite songs would be strawberry fields forever , norwegian wood , come together , and i am the walrus

Grew up listening to them and they're still one of my favorite bands. Regardless of how you feel about their music I think you can appreciate the impact and influence they had. Not many can claim to have shaped music the way they did. (Shout out to Elvis!)

I feel like they were revolutionary for the time, but if a band like that came along now, they wouldn't be anything special.

That being said, I think they were better apart than together. They've all gone on to do amazing solo projects, and I'd rather listen to that than the hits they made as a band.

They honestly have the most boring songs and voices I have heard, their overrated and there fashion was just awful.

I hate Paul McCartney so much...
