The Bell Tree Forums or Animal Crossing Community?

So, I came here after I got sick of all the little obnoxious rules and the patrolling that goes around in the ACC forums. I've been here for just a couple of days, and everything and everybody are just great! I already fell in love with this forum and the dynamic of it seems way more light hearted than the ACC forums. Not to be a hater haha, but yeah, I couldn't stand them...

Anybody has a similar story? Or what's your stance with TBT forums and the ACC forums?

comments? I would really love to know.

I can't say much for ACC because I've never joined there, in fact, I didn't even know it existed! But as a relatively new member I will agree with you, TBT is a great forum with fantastic atmosphere. For one it's very welcoming and easy to fit in, there don't seem to be any cliques which I'm always very wary of with forums now. It doesn't take much effort to actually feel involved, and of course the WiFi rating system is extremely useful for trades.

I originally used Gamefaqs as my go-to for AC stuff, but being a single-page forum, topics get buried very quickly. Not to mention I've met some strange people there that I didn't trust in my town, it's much harder to gauge that sort of thing there, that's for sure.

Plus, I just feel that the community here is more mature. I dunno, I've found more people here my age with my sense of humour that I didn't find on Gamefaqs. TBT just seems to have a much wider scope in many aspects. Glad to see you're enjoying it as much as I am!

yup! I have been part of the ACC forums for quite a few years since I started out with AC city folk, but I never really felt that I was envolved in their community, it was hard to get actual responds to any of my threads, which was really bad. Only like big shots in the forums would get actual attention. And now that I finally get the TBT sytem, it's awesome, over there it's all IGB, and boy, like veeeeery high prices for everything, I would never be able to afford anything, ugh. The experience wasn't great... and yeah... the community didn't seem really mature. Like at all, even the forum's managers seem to have a problem. You could get kicked out for very stupid little reasons, they want you to donate, if you don't donate you're just part of the "lower class", I've heard a lot of complaints. I've got kicked out a couple of times and for minor reasons, I wouldn't be able to log in after some time.

Never tried it, but from what I've heard it's awful.

It looks really old as well. Why do they still designs from older games? I'm all for continuing to play the older ones, but they mustn't have updated the interface in years. This place feels more like a community.

Not this thread again. Anyways, I made an account on ACC for buy never really posted or anything. I scrolled thru the forum once and I just didn't like it. The theme felt awkward to me, the forums didn't catch my eye, and by the looks of it, i just felt like I was 2007 again. Anyways, this forum is better. The theme is simple and easy to use, forums are filled with active Posts, easy rules go follow, and I feel like I'm in 2013.

I did join the ACC a while back, but i havn't been there for ages. I find TBT a lot more fun and the people here are so nice and it's pretty relaxed. I'm not leaving here any time soon!

I joined ACC back in 2008 and I was consistently active for about 5 years. It was the best forum experience of my life, really. It was extremely active and fun pre 2013. I was in several massive Private Threads often referred to as Buddy Threads. I talked to people on there for hours and would play Brawl with so many members. there were some truly hilarious members. But as you know, the mods cracked down and started banning all of the popular members. I mean all. In response, people began leaving. Either out of spite or just because it became too boring. I lost count of how many people I interacted with personally who got banned. I remember ACC fondly, but it's dead. The mods killed it, unfortunately.

I actually joined TBT because people on ACC mentioned this place was much better.

I joined cause it was the first Animal Crossing forum I came upon and I was supposed to get free items for being a newbie but I could never understand how to navigate their website. It's a freaking mess.

i'm a little biased, as i haven't really been on acc, but i'd prefer tbt ahaha

from what i've heard about it, it doesn't sound that great. i've heard that it's too strict, the layout of the site is outdated and all sorts of other stuff, so i don't plan on joining that site anytime soon.

I haven't joined ACC so I can't really say anything from experience, but after hearing so many horror stories and terrible incidents happening over there, not to mention how ugly and outdated the site is, I'm definitely staying here. Especially considering how inactive ACC is and how I'm impatient when it comes to trades. To each their own, though, as I'm sure there's people over there who hate TBT with just as much prejudice.

I used to use ACC waaaaay back in the day. Then I discovered TBT and have been using it ever since. I prefer the reddit AC community for certain things but use this community for general BSing. Looking at ACC now I can't believe they haven't changed the design in all those years, it looks like crap.

Here to be honest, I use to get violations over stupid stuff.
My latest was back in 2015 when I made a thread on the Wifi thread asking to go over to someone's town to collect villager's signatures. Asfdadxs!!!

Ain't my fault the official thread is dead and also I don't think anyone else would look in it.

Also I got more annoyed with people there than here.
