I know there has been a few posts about helping to understand map design. I found them super useful but actually got a little confused.
They said you needed to be happy with the dock location. The dock being the piece of wood to projects out from the beach area on your island. I assumed the dock was the airport because if you look at the airport in videos, it is connected to the island via a dock.
When I created my island I realised this is not the case. I'm not sure what the dock actually is but it is not the airport. The airport is actually a large rock on the southern beach. I think they could have made this more obvious that is was the airport because that would have factored into my decision on which map to choose.
